Who decides?

“Well, I think that this is an atrocity,” said Sharpton. “I think that it is probably one of the worst situations that I’ve seen. What this jury has done is establish a precedent that when you are young and fit a certain profile, you can be committing no crime, just bringing some Skittles and iced tea home to your brother, and be killed and someone can claim self-defense having been exposed with all kinds of lies, all kinds of inconsistencies. … Even at trial when he is exposed over and over again as a liar, he is acquitted. This is a sad day in the country. I think that we clearly must move on to the next step in terms of the federal government and in terms of the civil courts. Clearly, we want people to be disciplined, strategic. But this is a slap in the face to those that believe in justice in this country.”

So, Sharpton, in spite of a jury verdict, has decided the federal courts should now go after Zimmerman. This from a complete jerk who has disgraced himself and others by his outrageous race baiting. NAACP is also a disgrace calling for the DOJ to go after Zimmerman. The LSM has disgraced themselves as well, particularly NBC and CNN. All of them are proclaiming themselves to be judge and jury. Demanding the DOJ seek civil rights charges and using Zimmerman as a political football is nothing short of criminal. The race baiters don’t want justice, they want revenge and to be treated differently than any other group. They won’t address the real problems facing black youth in the US. That would mean their own failures would be put on display and, they have failed miserably.  Even the pols on the Hill have gotten into the ‘Zimmerman must be hanged’ meme, that is also a disgrace, they were not elected to be judge and jury

And…not to be left out….the Twitterverse explodes with hate and threats….up to and including killing the jurors.

It is my hope Preezy will keep his big mouth shut…..he’s become part of the problem and never offers any solutions.

Everything is now pretty much cleaned up from the ‘rain days’. The last storm was a doozy, knocking out power and downing trees. The blog will also be back to ‘normal’ starting this week. Thanks to all of you for your patience.

Oh Lynn II I am sorry for the rainy mess. We just have over 100 temps in Sun City CA and that can be fixed by staying indoors and turnig on the AC. I hope you will be back to normal quickly.

    • We’re pretty much back to normal….depending on your definition of normal… :D

  2. I wrote a response here, would be interested to hear your thoughts

    • Our nation is horribly divided right now. It seems as if people have stopped being ‘people’ and have become a list of adjectives, led by mob rule.
My feelings about the trial and the verdict don’t come into to play right now, but my feelings of how America is being stripped of it’s true gold has been apparent for some time.
We’re losing the innovation, drive and imagination of the American people, and it is being done by hammering glass ceilings over our heads, I.e., “You didn’t build that.” And the act of dividing Americans into tiny subgroups, black, Hispanic, white Hispanic white, and so in. Rumor, innuendo, and salesmen’s shpeil has replaced the truth on our news channels.
Untied we stand. And the Administration is working hard to divide us. Huge, strong, America is getting chipped away into tiny islands of adjectives, to make it easier to destroy.
Objectivism came into being as a direct result of heavy handed socialism. All I can hope is that my 8th grade history teacher was correct, “the pendulum will swing back the other way.”

      • At the moment, I’m enjoying the most delicious cinnamon swirl coffee cake…probably the best I have ever eaten. Was doing some shopping at Walmart, and I found it in the bakery section. I normally don’t buy such sweets…but as soon as I saw Paula Deen’s photo on the label, I grabbed it. Next trip, I’ll be on the lookout for more of her products. It’s not much, but at the moment, it’s about all I can do….

        • MMMMM….sounds delish…. :)

      • The jury made their decision….that in itself is enough. But, it would seem that a lot of people don’t want to accept their judgment. Mob rule should never trump the law.

You were not at the scene of the incident nor anyone else other than Zimmerman. That is why we have a court system. I accept other peoples’ views and everyone has a right to disagree with the verdic. What they are have no right to do is make the incident into a racial issue. Unless you or others can crawl into the thoughts of Zimmerman and Martin that night then you cannot decree that the incident was actually caused by racial hatred. If a black wants to call me a cracker than so be it, that doesn’t mean I will respond with a racial thought of my own, instead I might call that person a profane name and that just means I think he/she is an asshat. When anyone calls a person by a racial slur than that person is a racist, even if that person is a balck calling another person a “n…ger.” If the blacks say the “n” word is a racial slur, than cracker is also one. I am tired of all of the Zimmerman ordeal and have little or respect for the black leaders or the Obama administration. I am now totally turned off by their move to make the incident into a national racial civil issue.

      • No one wants to go anywhere near Rachel Jeantel’s remarks re: Zimmerman as gay predator:

        http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/da

        Some of the above:
“She made it clear, race was not one part of this,
it wasn’t a minuscule aspect of it. Rachel Jeantel admitted to Piers
Morgan that she was telling Trayvon that this guy could be a rapist.
Well, he’s male. That means he’s gay. So we got homophobia here, not
racism, and she said, “Run, Trayvon, run.” And then she said, Trayvon’s
little brother is at the house. You don’t want the guy following you.”

    • I wrote a response on your blog…still in moderation.

  3. Hero kids….

    • It’s kind of scary that a kidnapping could take place in what seems a nice neighborhood. I’m glad those boys took action.

    Let’s Not Talk About “Race”
—apologies to Cole Porter, and “Let’s Not Talk About Love”

My neighbors all spout the same drivel-idge
About how I’m enjoying “White Privilege”
    I could talk about “race”—the topic’s hot
But some other things shouldn’t be forgot

So, let’s talk of Solyndra, and “green energy”
How investors robbed the public and then got off scot-free
Or how the President could be such a dolt
To underwrite production of GM’s Chevy Volt
Let’s fly into some rages ’bout Obamacare’s stages
And all the many thousands of its regulation pages
And think of how its ill effects will weigh on us for ages
But let’s not talk about “race.”

Let’s talk about “Fast,” “Furious” as well,
Holder walking automatic weapons to the cartels,
Let’s speak of our last Secretary of State,
The death of the Ambassador she left to his fate.
Let’s all of us get giddy-oh, ’bout what al-Qaeda did-eo—
Susan Rice flipped her lid-eo trying to blame a video
It’s true we still have no clue to what they are keeping hid-eo
But let’s not talk about “race.”

Let’s talk about jobs, and how they’ve declined—
How each month’s glowing report one week later unwinds.
Let’s talk of increased government giveaways
While we borrow from the Chinese at an increasing pace.
Why not discuss ascendancy of government dependency
And what the likely end will be continuing this tendency
    Of over-regulation,
    Unrestricted immigration,
    “Comprehensive” legislation,
    Executive usurpation,
    Official dissimulation—
It makes one fear for the nation,
    So let’s not talk about—
    (Sigh)
If you drive a car, and fear new gas lines
Let’s discuss the stonewalling of the Keystone pipeline.
Or, if you wonder why more folks don’t protest
Let’s discuss the biased policies of the IRS.
My friends, the time at last has come
    To leave low-info voterdom
And so instead of dwelling in
    A world defined by melanin
Let’s talk of how there’s hell to pay
    With OFA and the NSA
    Data-mining every which way
    Or how we cannot guarantee
Any election’s honesty without proper voter ID
Of topic’s there’s no dearth, you see
So let’s not talk about “race.”

    • Good one…. :)

    • The point I was trying to make wasn’t about race as much as about our justice system….the jury made their decision….what is going on is a huge denial of that…Even the prosecutor (Rionda and Corey) are still hyping up people through the media.
For Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder it’s about gun control.
