“Them vs. Us” Obama mentality

Here is a man that believes not just that the government provided framework of roads, bridges, defense and law enforcement helps the private sector. He believes these things are the nerve center, the driving force. More important than any individual, talent, enterprise or initiative….

This is a view that successful businessmen, women are merely the ones who did better at taking advantage of the benefits that government has bestowed. Therefore, he thinks they should be glad to pay an even greater share of federal taxes than they do. He calls that, ‘giving back,’ as if the government conferred all that they have and they shouldn’t mind returning a bit more of it where it came from.

This explains why so much stimulus money was spent to protect government and why his legislation on healthcare and financial reform involved extending the reach and power of, you guessed it, government.

http://hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2012/07/17/obama-really-stepped-in-it-but-msm-continues-to-run-interference-for-him/

Government has to ‘take’ from hardworking taxpaying citizens and small businessmen and women to ‘give’ anything at all to anyone. Government does not create jobs nor does it have its own money to pass around to anyone. Since when can government fill the role of family or a mother and father who earn to support said family. We have seen the negative impact on government inserting itself into the private lives of millions. The picture is not a pretty one.

It isn’t a centralized government that is responsible for creativity and entrepreneurship. It is the individual, seeing a need, creating a business to fill that need, that is the backbone of this country. Government can only provide the rules and infrastructure so that free people can prosper and grow. According to BO everybody owes everything to the government….we are just a collective in his eyes. What business has he ever built and what would he even know about what it takes to build one? He has no idea of the sacrifices small businessmen and women and, their families make.

His philosophy is not one of prosperity for all. Instead he feels to make things “fair” and “even” anyone who has any degree of wealth must give it to the government. Government will then decide how much we should all have as an equal portion and fairly distribute it to everyone.  If you own a home and happen to sell it, government will consider your wealth, even if you only have it for one day, and will tax you accordingly. The US vs. Them mentality is big government and its supporters against us bitter clingers who think our property should belong to us, our savings belong to us, what we earn belongs to us.  We are willing to pay the taxes we owe, but not willing to hand everything over to big government bullies.

Those roads and bridges Bo talks about weren’t created out of thin air. Yes, indeed someone did invest in them, the taxpayers! Without taxpayer’s money the roads and bridges do not get built. Something the asshat-in-chief forgot to mention. In the words of Rush Limbaugh “I hope he fails”.  His failure won’t be because he didn’t tell us a good story, it will be because he is the worst President in the history of this country and his policies are destructive to everything we are as a country.

Romney gave a fantastic speech today in Irwin, Pennsylvania in response to the “you didn’t build it” speech.

I feel like the man in your cartoon. I’ve sooooo seen enough. I’m encouraged by the reaction to bo’s speech though. I think it really hit home for a lot of small business people. We have to keep it “out there” … making the rounds… fb, twitter, emails, whatever it takes to make sure that even the most a-political or even left-leaning small business people see it too.

    • if that bolt of lightning and the loud thunderclap that followed didn’t wake people up to the Marxist in Big White, I don’t know what else he can do that will.

I know I’m prejudiced for MrRomney and against MrObama, but MrRomney’s speeches and comments are directed to turning things around, making things better and bringing a real “hope” back to all of us. We all know that no matter who is President there is no magic wand, no immediate fix for all the woes but instead of the mean, envious and divisive message of MrObama’s plans, it’s so refreshing to hear about the good and promise of better things that gives me “hope”.

There are a lot of people who wish MrRomney would come out swinging against BO and call him out for the dirty rat, liar-in-chief and un-American man we all think he is, but I don’t believe that the public wants the dirty politics that the Obama campaign is pushing. We are a fair and forgiving people, we don’t like dirty politics from anyone and will punish those who make us uncomfortable.
If a candidate has proof that his opponent has committed a crime, show it or shut up.
We want to know the positive, the plan for our future, not a litany of namecalling.

    • Romney needs to point out the failures of BO’s policies…the cost of those failures to the American taxpayers. They need to be reminded of the nonchalant attitude BO has when it comes to spending other people’s money ….like buying 79,000 Volts to bolster GM sales. …the BP disaster….outing of Navy Seals that got them killed, earmarks for votes that got ObamaTax passed….pay to play cronyism for his pals…the list is endless.

    • I like that Romney has the attitude of a leader that will work with the people to reclaim our country. Unlike the current CIC (Mr. Asshat), who simply tells us how things are going to be and that we should suck it up and do what he says.

Here is a little humor naking fun of the Big Won’s political agenda.

  4. Just in case anyone thought champ had finally found some brain matter….

“when I try something that doesn’t work, then I don’t try it again. I don’t – you don’t go back to doing something that didn’t work.”…..then doubles down on more of that epic failure.

We’re going to invest in American energy,” Obama said. “Yes, we want to continue to expand our production of oil and natural gas, but I also want to make sure we are the leaders in solar and biodiesel – the energy of the future that can help reduce dependence on foreign oil.”

The Obama administration spent $9 billion on solar and wind projects from 2009 to 2011 resulting in the creation of 910 “direct jobs,” according to a report by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, which is part of the Energy Department.

A study by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, found that 19 of the companies that received loans or grants by the Obama administration have filed for bankruptcy or are in the process of doing so.

  5. HAH…MO backs Bain Capital (well, before Romney started his Presidential bid)

But before Romney was the Republican nominee for president, first lady Michelle Obama praised a child care company Bain Capital helped get off the ground.

In 2011, the first lady said she was “excited” about the role of Bright Horizons, a corporate day care company founded in the 1980s backed by Bain Capital, in her “Let’s Move! Child Care” campaign, according to a video reviewed by The Daily Caller.

“The Partnership for a Healthier America is working with private providers like Bright Horizons,” the first lady said at a June 2011 “Let’s Move!” child care announcement.

“That’s the nation’s second largest private child care provider, and they’re going to implement this checklist at nearly 600 child care centers across the country,” she said. “So we already have commitments that are going to affect hundreds of thousands of children today.”

Michelle Obama added: “Again, that’s why we’re excited to be able to launch this.”

The Boston Globe recently reported that Bright Horizons was founded in a “Cambridge kitchen” and was financially backed by “Bain Capital, then led by Mitt Romney.”

I find it highly suspicious that money keeps disappearing under this administration,Jon Corzine and the missing millions or billions and he is still working with Obama now this and all of the “green bankruptcies” I don’t believe in that many coincidents. http://weaselzippers.us/2012/07/17/doe-loses-500000-in-equipment-bought-with-stimulus-money/?tw_p=twt

    • I’m going to go out in the garden, gather myself while picking snow peas, then come back and lose it entirely as I read that article…..how does anyone “lose” $500,000 worth of equipment….WTF??!!

    • And he’s “pretty good” at it too….is there anything….anything at all BO doesn’t do that he thinks he’s not so good at? Name one thing he doesn’t brag about…one thing.

  7. Oddly enough, there are still business people who voted for little Barry the first time that are going to vote for him again. I heard one on Fox News this morning. They are like abused wives that keep going back for more. I don’t understand that thinking at all.

    • Sorry, you were in pending….just until the first comment was approved….happy to see you here! 🙂

    • “but, I looooove him”….makes no sense to anyone else but, there you have it.

  8. Awwww, the MO cares about tornado recovery efforts in Alabama, from a year ago. Then off to raise money for Obama! If she “cares” so much, why not lead a fundraising effort for the victims? Love the little local blogs and newsies, comments are good too 😉

    http://blog.al.com/sweethome/2012/07/first_lady_michelle_obama_to_v.html

    • srdem65

The comments were brutal, on both sides. What none of them understood is that by MO visiting a disaster area, WE pay for this trip. And while the Obots trash MrRomney’s wealth, none of them connected with the perks the donors get at the fundraiser: the more you give, the more you will get from MO. Top dollar gets a “greet” and a photo op.
Poor people don’t get in the door, don’t get a “greet”. Poor people get squat from MO.
They don’t see the irony of their comments.

    • I stand with Israel. Netanyahu says they will “respond with force.”

    • Annie's Mom

Netanyahu points the finger directly at Iran…not Hezbollah. This is going to be ugly, fast. And where’s Preezy…eating lunch with Joey, and getting ready to greet the girls’ basketball team. Also, it appears Syria may collapse within “36 hours”.

      • Same thing…Hezb’allah is Iran’s, both Shiite. Iran’s guerilla thugs. Nasrallah is Assad’s lapdog. It’s how Hezb’allah gets arms…through Syria.

[…]Regrettably, it seems more likely that Hezbollah will choose a second path; indeed they may have already taken their first steps down this road. Hezbollah could place all their political achievements (past and future) on the line to support Assad’s Syria and ensure its survival. This would mean committing to engage in further violence to prop up the ailing Syrian regime, something which, if the commander of the Free Syrian Army, Rial Al-Asaad, is to be believed, has already happened. Asaad said in June that “[Hezbollah] is involved in events inside Syria, especially in Talkalakh and Homs. We have seen heavily armed [Hezbollah] convoys and several buses.”

Given Hassan Nasrullah’s heavily pro-Syrian rhetoric, this would not come as much of a surprise. If Hezbollah is intent on keeping their arms (as it seems they are), they will need to continue to rely on support from Syria to provide passage for arms traffic from their chief sponsor Iran, especially heavy rockets that would be more difficult to transfer via sea or air. Any new regime in Syria would be highly unlikely to maintain cordial relations with Iran, given its backing of the Syrian government’s crackdown in the past year, thus cutting off Hezbollah from its Iranian patron.
Of course, Hezbollah’s political gains will not be the only thing derailed should they offer military support for Syria. It is possible that the sectarian aspects of the Syrian conflict could spill over into Lebanon to a greater extent than the flare-ups that occurred in Tripoli in June[…]

      • It’s going to be long and ugly….really ugly.

        • Annie's Mom

Just heard John Bolton speaking on this. He felt it was very significant that Netanyahu pointed the finger directly at Iran….expect a direct response on Iran by Israel.

          • Defense Minister Ehud Barak vowed that Israel will find the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.

“The defense establishment will work with all its might to find the perpetrators of this terrorist attack and those who sent them,” Barak said. “We have a long struggle with [terrorists] that has many successes and many difficult days. Today is such a difficult day.”
            http://www.jpost.com/DiplomacyAndPolitics/Article.aspx?id=278001

          • and this..from the same article…Bolton knows who did it…and who sent them.
“Former head of Israel’s Counterterrorism Bureau Brig.-Gen. (res.) Nitzan Nuriel said that Hezbollah and Iran could have recruited operatives from within Bulgaria’s Muslim community or crossed into the country from Turkey.

“Hezbollah has a presence in Bulgaria and there have been attempts that were thwarted there before,” Nuriel, who stepped down from his post earlier this year. “They could have relied on the local Muslim community or crossed into Bulgaria from Turkey. It is quite easy.”

Nuriel said that if eyewitness reports that a suicide bomber carried out the attack, then it could be a sign of Hezbollah frustration with its failure until now to successfully attack Israel in past attempts in India, Georgia, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Cyprus and Greece.”

          • and a “fake” ID from Michigan….probably Dearbornistan.
“”We have established there was a person who was a suicide bomber in this attack (on Wednesday). This person had a fake driving license from the United States, from the state of Michigan,” Tsvetanov told reporters.”

“Among the ironies of President Obama’s attack on Bain Capital is that the investment firm has spent much of its 28 years enriching Mr. Obama’s voters. Bain clients tend to be government-employee pension funds, foundations, trusts and elite universities. According to Dow Jones LP Source, investors in Bain funds have included both Mr. Obama’s alma mater, Columbia, as well as Michelle Obama’s Princeton.”

The whole point of attacking M.R. on Bain is to portray him as a vulture capitalist to the crowd who doesn’t understand how business makes money. The ones who think that profit is an evil thing, that a business should only make enough money to pay it’s obligations and it’s current employees and that successful people did so by cheating and lying.

MrRomney’s best course is to attack everything that BO did and what he didn’t do.

““The President has failed and he is jeopardizing the safety of our troops, their families and our National security for political gain. Obama has exposed the identity of special operations units, leaked classified information, and limited the rules of engagement of forces on the ground,” said Mr. Zinke. “For those who have taken an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, it is a call of duty to take back America from a Commander-in-Chief that is incapable of understanding the sacrifices that have been made for the values that have made America great.”

  17. DNC regrets offending Anne Romney…. swears they won’t do it again….

[…]It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now the Democratic National Committee is offering an apology of sorts to Ann Romney.

At issue is a DNC video featuring footage of Ann Romney’s dancing show horse. The DNC used the horse in mocking way to attack Mitt Romney for not releasing his tax returns (and dancing around the issue).[…]

Sort of makes the DNC look like they’re picking on a courageous woman who has fought hard for her life.
Add to that, her dressage horse is going to the Olympics….how many people can say that?

Of course they regret attacking MrsR. It opens the door to attack MO. After all, MrsR spent her own money on things, MrsO spent OUR money on things.
We don’t like dirty politics, we don’t like sliming the wife or family of a candidate for who they are.
When they made a big deal about the horse, and asked if ordinary people had a horse, they had to be shocked to find out that , yes, a lot of people own horses or go to riding stables.
They should have asked how many ordinary people go to Vail for a skiing vacation.

  18. The Princess and the Pothole… LOL 😀 can’t make this stuff up….

    • Now we know, what a sad day for the US and the Swedes…

[…]Ghezali has a Wikipedia page, which describes him as a Swedish citizen, with Algerian and Finnish origins. He had been held at the US’s Guantanamo Bay detainment camp on Cuba from 2002 to 2004, having previously studied at a Muslim religious school and mosque in Britain, and traveled to Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, it says. He was taken into custody on suspicion of being an al-Qaeda agent, having been arrested along with a number of other al-Qaeda operatives.

Following a lobbying effort by Swedish prime minister Göran Persson, Guantanamo authorities recommended Ghezali be transferred to another country for continued detainment, and he was handed over to Swedish authorities in 2004. The Swedish government did not press charges.[…]
