Trying to deliver the perception of power

Skewing the polls in order to make you think you are part of a minority who is filled with “hate” because you disagree with the current administration’s policies. Why not examine how well some of those policies have worked out for the american taxpayer.

Government has increased its fleet of cars to 449,000 vehicles. That is one car for every seven government employees.

“As it turns out, there’s a big reason GM experienced an increase in sales last month: “government purchases of GM vehicles rose a whopping 79% in June,” according to the National Legal and Policy Center’s Mark Modica.”

So, not only have we bailed out GM, the government is continuing the bailout by purchasing an enormous number of vehicles to stave off the bad news of the GM slump and using your taxes to do it. See how well that worked?

“Recovery summer” is another botched piece of work. Remember all those “shovel ready” jobs BO promised the American worker?  Axelrod is denying it was ever said and wanted Chris Wallace to provide a tape proving there was anything said about it. Wallace obliged by showing the little weasel the tape where he extolled the virtues of the policy BO had put into place, using billions of taxpayer dollars (890 billion)  for those jobs that never materialized. We did get a huge amount of signage along the interstates telling us our “stimulus dollars” were “at work”.   “You can’t brand a recovery summer, and then not deliver a recovery.”  With unemployment up again, 8.3%, this is what they come up with?

Since the Immaculation of Obama there is more corruption in DC at the employee level then we have seen in any other Presidency.

Rep. John Mica (R., Fla.), Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, revealed last week that the General Services Administration (GSA), the government agency at the center of a luxury spending scandal, had awarded $44 million in taxpayer-funded bonuses last year, far more than previously reported.

Though GSA staff constitute just one percent of the federal workforce, agency bonuses made up 10 percent of government bonuses paid out in 2011…….[snip]

The congressman also found widespread abuse of overtime pay, and cited one case where a GSA electrician receiving an $84,000 salary also earned $115,000 in overtime as well as a $4,600 bonus.

“There’s something wrong at GSA when you have to pay an employee $115,000 in overtime,” Mica said.

The greed and corruption in DC is at every level in government. You have become their ATM.

This really is a war that we have to win. It’s all on us.

  1. Just when you think it can’t get worse……it can

•Contradicting what the Establishment Survey primarily used to report job growth and contraction contained — namely that 163,000 more Americans were working in July than were in June — the Household Survey showed an employment contraction of 215,000 and job growth of only 186,000 in the past four months.
•The civilian labor force, workforce participation rate, and employment-population ratio all dropped, reflecting an economy where a growing number of Americans sees little opportunity, and where the benefits of staying on the dole in its various forms all too often outweigh those involved in trying to get away from it.
•Not coincidentally, the number of adults not in the labor force increased by 348,000. That number has ballooned by over two million in the past twelve months to 88.34 million, and is a shocking 7.4 million higher than when the recession officially ended in June 2009.
•Everyone seems to be assuming that the looming disaster known as ObamaCare is something that, other than its obvious contribution to the “Taxmageddon” visiting us on January 1, 2013, won’t otherwise harm the economy until 2014. Really? Then someone needs to explain why the economy is shedding full-time jobs. Full-time employment has dropped by 945,000 in the past four months, while the number of part-timers has increased by over a million.

So Mooch is going to be on Leno’s show again. Thank goodness I never watch Jay. I really don’t think the average American cares what Mooch did at the Olympics or her relationship with Barry. Most Americans are just trying to earn a living, pay their bills and miss the economic bullets shot at them every day by the Obummer administration.

    • MO spouting her Cinderella story is not something I care to hear about. She’s so pathetically maudlin.

Isn’t Leno too old to be beaten in chinese checkers?

  3. Lynne, your posts remind me of a old quote “who’re you gonna’ believe, me or your lyin’ eyes?”

    • Exactly right….and to be constantly lied to and conned by these people makes me so angry and disgusted…they really do think we’re stupid.

She has to be the dumbest FirstLady ever. Talk about out of touch.
    aaarrrgggghhh. What a moron!

    • I’ll just run right out and tell everyone I meet….LOL 😀

Her mouth bone’s connected to her jaw bone. Her jaw bone’s connected to her butt bone…..

    • Carole

The Obutts are more than stupid. They are liars and are trying to dupe the “folks” out there. Teachers are hired by school district that get money for schools through property taxes. Very little federal money goes into hiring teachers or running the school districts. Govenors are the ones who manipulate state budgets and if a state is economically in trouble, state and federal funds can be denied to school districts or state employees. Obutt keeps using the issue of hiring teachers because he needs the teachers unions and association to back him up for president in 2012. Most teachers have 45 minutes for lunch on most school days, that is not enough time tro eat at resturants. Most school districts are not hiring, butt are retaining school staffs by forcing school employees to take days off without pay.

Mooch missed out on being educated during her college days because she was aborbed with hating Whitey and caught up in sit-out protests for liberal causes. Mooch Moron is a perfect name for her.

      • sportinlife10

I was talking with a person who works as support staff to a school. I said my kids who are teachers don’t belong to the union, but every sngle month, money is deducted from their paycheck, which goes to the teachers’ union. “Oh yes”, she said brightly. “That’s because they do all the negotiating for us: salary, healthcare, retirement…”
While I knew the first, I didn’t know the second, that the Teachers’ Union has dragged into its net, all support staff in school. (I suppose it’s everyone but the SEIU in the cafeteria.)
It doesn’t seem to occur to these peoploe to ask what else their hard-earned money goes for, and to inquire about union officials’ salaries.

        • Carole

In CA the teachers have NEA,CTA and heir local school teachers’ association. Mine was MVEA. The aides and other non teachers belong to CSEA, which is California State Employee Associaction for state workers, police, fire personnel, all non teachers in school districts, etc. I hated that my dues were bing used to endorse candidates and propositions I didn’t agree with nor voted for in elections. As a teacher I was naive for most of my teaching years until I really realized that all the perks that my association got for me was undone by all the horrible people and propositions they helped get voted in as president, governors or issues. Most teachers just vote Democrat because that is the party that is pushed by teachers’ unions and associations. They don’t read up on issues or candidates, they just vote with the flow as Democrats.

  5. There are lies, damned lies, and statistics….particularly when manipulated
“President Obama was saved from a really embarrassing unemployment rate increase by the 348,000 people who fled the workforce in the month and hence were not counted as unemployed or even a part of the overall workforce population.

The website ZeroHedge explains the 163,000 job gains through an excellent analysis of the BLS’ aggressive seasonal adjustment , where the agency made the largest seasonal addition for a July NFP print in the past decade. The addition by BLS of 377,000 jobs for seasonal purposes is the saving grace of the report, and may explain how they could have a 358,000 disparity between the number of people employed and the number of jobs “created.”

  7. DOJ….you had to know this would happen…
“The Justice Department is investigating whether Las Vegas Sands Corp., owned by high-profile Republican donor Sheldon Adelson, broke federal law by failing to report millions of dollars of potentially laundered money transferred to its casinos by two high-rolling Las Vegas gamblers, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles is investigating deposits made in the mid-2000s by a Mexican pharmaceutical businessman, later indicted for drug trafficking in 2007, and a California executive with Fry’s Electronics, who later pleaded guilty to taking illegal kickbacks, the newspaper said, citing lawyers and federal officials working on the case.”

  8. Media is complicit in the perception of an undefeatable BO..

The media is trying to create a sense of momentum and of inevitability about the Obama candidacy. One benighted Newsweek reporter even speculated about a possible Democratic landslide.

On Friday, I saw the real numbers. These state-by-state polls, taken by an organization I trust (after forty years of polling) show the real story. The tally is based on more than 600 likely voter interviews in each swing state within the past eight days.

The trend line is distinctly pro-Romney. Of the thirteen states studied, he improved or Obama slipped in nine states while the reverse happened in only four. To read the media, one would think that Romney had a terrible month. In fact, the exact reverse is true.

Romney is currently leading in every state McCain carried plus: Indiana, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Nevada, North Carolina, and Colorado. If he carries these states, he’ll have 228 electoral votes of the 270 he needs to win.

    http://www.dickmorris.com/the-real-poll-numbers/

  9. The more the BO campaign wails and laments about Romney, the more despicable the tactics, the more determined we should get to rid ourselves of the ugly they are…

“Obama only won by five points against a weak McCain effort in 2008, and when he could claim to be Captain Hopenchange the Lightworker. Now, he’s known for bad loans, a bad economy, and some disreputable campaigning that is turning many voters off to him.

Something else to consider: voter enthusiasm. Obama’s voter base is far less enthusiastic in 2012 than it was in 2008. Many of them will not switch to Romney, but they will not vote at all. The Republicans’ vote, meanwhile, has been steadily enthusiastic from the primaries forward. They want to vote, and they want to vote specifically to end Obama’s presidency.”

Never give up, never, not ever, surrender.

  10. WTF?!?….
“Federal investigators had “looked at” Sikh temple gunman Wade Michael Page more than once because of his associations with right-wing extremists and the possibility that he was providing funding to a domestic terrorist group, but law enforcement officials at the time determined there was not enough evidence of a crime to open an investigation, a senior U.S. law enforcement official said.”

He lost his health insurance because Bain closed his company. By the time his wife was diagnosed it was stage 4 cancer, blah blah blah and it is ALL Romney’s fault!!! Does no one take responsibility for their own actions anymore?

    • Elisabeth

Google it- the ad was proven false! They don’t care if they lie.

  13. Rumors circulating about Petraeus being Romney’s VP choice. Not sure how I feel about this.

    • zoinks

Romney could put up a lobotomized goat and I’d still vote for him. ANYBODY but barry and his beard.

      • False Alarm- The rumor was started by BO’s people.

        • Rumors, lies, innuendos….what a stand up comic routine they have going for them…good thing the voters are becoming more cynical when it comes to the pols.

    • The Original

I would be fine with it if he did.

  14. srdem65

I have been disturbed by the Obama ad that claims that MrRomney is re sponsible for a poor woman’s death by cancer.
As someone who has had to say goodbye to loved ones consumed by cancer, I can understand and offer condolences to the grieving widower. However, my family didn’t blame anyone for the death of loved ones; not the doctors, not the governor, nor the President of the United States.

The ad makes me sick because of it’s unfairness, the untold story that amounts to a lie, and the sheer distain for common decency put out by the Dems.
I said it before, I’m so ashamed to still be a Dem. I can’t believe what happened to the party I was proud to belong to over the years. Even during the Carter years, I was proud that he was a decent man, if not a good President.

    • Decency is not part of the Dems anymore. These people are not what we used to be proud of. They’re Chicago thugs and garbage.

    • domanii

It is so dispicible I’m at a loss for words. How DARE they make such a false ad? Why can’t someone stop them? If the left followers can’t see how pathetic Obama has become in his bid for re election they should all move into the White House with him and MO. They all belong to each other.
Maybe we should all recede from the Union and do our own thing. I see no good in the future with Obama in office. In fact I see no future at all.

  15. BO caught up in more of his lies…

“So Obama, Smith would have us believe, is a long-time supporter of the welfare reform law as drafted in 1996. If only there were video footage of Obama around this time in which he expressed his feelings about the law. As luck would have it, there is. Weasel Zippers provides a video capture from 1998 in which then-Illinois State Senator Barack Obama clearly shares his views.

  16. […]”Given the weaknesses of the construction industry, the American Jobs Act proposed that we rebuild schools, roads, bridges, airport, and ports. That would provide small businesses with opportunities as contractors and vendors in this rebuilding process.[…]

42% of that money was spent on other things that BO deemed much more important…none of the stimulus did what it was supposed to be earmarked for by Congress…

    • srdem65

Here’s part of the problem with the “jobs act”: Arizona is and has been run by conservative Repubs and even now our proposed state budget is calling for a SURPLUS! Our roads are not falling apart, our bridges are fine, our schools have always been upgraded to meet the times and modernized with the years and our airport is one of the best in the country.
In Dem run states and cities, they’ve let the roads fall to pieces, waited until a bridge was ready to collapse and the schools were just ignored as to upgrades.
Oh, we have our corrupt politicians, too and we have some who take advantage of their positions, but on the whole it’s a well run state. We’re not perfect.

In my city, every one of our council members is a conservative (and Mormon) except one, and nothing is wasted, overspent, no graft, no union thuggery. If I write a letter of concern, someone from the Mayor’s office calls me back and connects me to the department that will take care of anything.
Two years ago, I complained that a certain city block had a sidewalk that wasn’t in compliance with the “handicap laws” and prevented me from using it. Within nine months, the sidewalk was upgraded, a new curbing was installed and the manager of the street department called me to advise that the problem was fixed. wow!

      • Well, you people aren’t busy giving everything away through fraud and corruption.

  17. White House tells GSA to “stand down” and not arrest “occupiers”

[…]”We now have a new GSA scandal – one that involves the Obama White House,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “These documents clearly show that federal agencies colluded with the Obama White House to allow the Occupy Wall Street protestors to violate the law with impunity. These documents tell us that the GSA and DHS can’t be relied upon to protect federal workers or property[…]

Occupiers = epic fail Felons, rapists, murderers, vandals and police haters.

    • zoinks

I suggest that vans and buses full of bankruptcy lawyers show up at every OWS event. They can prepare & file a bankruptcy for every occupier and although most student loans are not exempt in such filings, enough of the occupiers’ future financial credit history can be destroyed…..never to be rebuilt.

Good. Because these pukes do not ever deserve to buy a home, just to default on that loan too. The world needs ditch diggers and permanent renters, too.

Can you imagine these idiots bragging on a resume that they were part of OWS? Things I’m certain of: 1-they won’t get the job; 2-they won’t get the loan; 3-they won’t get to order the lobster (LOL); 4-they’ll get a free ambulance ride to a different ER; and 5-they won’t get to marry into a rich family.

      • LOL :D…. sounds like a plan

  18. “BAY BUCHANAN: This is typical. We have the most powerful man in the world–the president of the United States–takes no responsibility for his campaign, no responsibility for his PACs, no responsibility for his cabinet members who are out there raising money–for this PAC so this ad can run–takes no responsibility for pain and suffering this country is suffering. The people in this country are suffering with high unemployment, loss of homes, falling into poverty. The only thing he takes responsibility for is the businesses other people are building. This is a disgraceful, despicable, dishonest ad, and if the president of the United States does not want shame on himself, he should immediately reject it outright.”

BO has already shamed himself and all of us…the US isn’t Southside Chicago and BO isn’t a gangbanger in a turf war….

  19. Written on May 25th…still holds true today.
“Obama, not Mitt Romney, is the one with the muddled message – and the one who often comes across as baldly political. Obama, not Romney, is the one facing blowback from his own party on the central issue of the campaign so far – Romney’s history with Bain Capital. And most remarkably, Obama, not Romney, is the one falling behind in fundraising.

To top it off, Vice President Joe Biden has looked more like a distraction this month than the potent working-class weapon Obama needs him to be.

It was only 3 months ago that Beltway conservative George Will in essence proclaimed Obama unbeatable, urging the GOP to focus on the Senate instead. This was a media generated delusion, an element of the hype that Obama is beloved by Americans because they won’t tell pollsters they don’t like him personally. The problem with inhabiting the Beltway social system is that you start to believe the illusions peddled by the media and liberal social establishment.”

Believe it or not, CNN has discredited the ‘romney killed my wife ad.’ Turns out the wife had her own longtime insurance through her job. Talk about being in denial.
When confronted, the spokesman agreed with CNN, but said he didn’t care, he blamed Romney anyway..
The O campaign is starting to look like it’s being run by The Mean Girls, Valjar and Moo. Both became wealthy by relying on the stupidity and tribalism of Black Chicagoans..

    • They all sound bitter and ugly. Two good words to describe both women.

    • Don’t think the BO campaign didn’t know all that. Most lowdown, nasty, underhanded people there ever were….proved it in 2008. have to give CNN props for honesty….but, the media has been more than just a little complicit in the same game BO is playing.

Joe Soptic is a paid spokesman. He is an actor. He has a great voice, nothing else. I’m doubting that he ever had a steel mill job, a dead wife, a dumb daughter, or any of the other items on the scripts hes read since getting hired by team obama.

Soptic was featured in an Obama ad in May 2012, who explained that although he wasn’t “rich” he was able to put his daughter through college. Weak message, so he was merely handed a new script.

In January 2012, Soptic complained to Democracy Now, a liberal non-profit TV station, that when the steel company he worked for was bought out by Bain, they tried to BUY out his job.

Good luck with that…Nobama, no more benefit of the doubt for BO.

  24. 35 days is more than enough time to request an absentee ballot…..
[…]Of course the Obama campaign wants to muck things up by extending early voting to everyone; the resultant logjam would make it easier for dead people and otherwise ineligible people to cast a vote. What makes the Obama campaign’s suit even more egregious is the fact the Ohioans have 35 days before the election to request an absentee ballot; there is no shortage of time.

Thus the leniency toward our men and women in uniform is a matter of necessity, not convenience. Many overseas servicemen and women need the extra time for their ballots to arrive, and this is a transparent attempt by the Obama campaign to negate their votes by encouraging a corrupt situation to allow for false votes. In addition, Obama’s campaign had referred in their suit to the reasons for extra military time as “arbitrary and unconstitutional.”[…]
    Romney stands his ground
