Americans baffle the overt liberal media

They don’t understand there is no compromise or bi-partisan agreement anymore. While they’re busy carrying water for the Progs, touting every crackpot scheme in DC, we’re out standing up for our Constitution. They were amazed on hearing that even the Liberals, Moderates on both sides, Centrists, Conservatives, and Libertarians will stand together every single time to uphold our Freedoms even when we disagree politically. We are not the enemy, the LSM is filling that slot quite nicely. They have fallen into disrepute, all the while telling us they know what’s best for us and we should choose what they want. We don’t trust them, we don’t believe them and, when they check with the White House before their articles are published or views are expressed, we have contempt for them.  Is it any wonder their business model is floundering?

After watching and listening to mainstream media news reports of the presidential race, you may have begun to realize that our journalists use words in a different way than the rest of us. This is because they are highly trained news experts who have developed a precise technical language in order to explain things more exactly.

Truth and facts have become arbitrary and used to manipulate the public. Instead of asking the hard questions of our political betters, calling them out for their lies and corruption, the LSM has become part of the political machine in DC. Vetting BO and his myriad lies concerning policies that affect us all is not part of their job description. They’re wrapped up in some Never-Never Land with Obama while we live in Realville. The “News” of late sounds more like the “View”, or any other opinion panel, rather then actually informing viewers of anything concrete or, heaven forbid, opposing viewpoints.  A free and objective press is vital to a Nation’s well being. “A country with a free press is expected to be more open about what is wrong in their societies and with their environments,”.  When a supposed free press slants the news and defers to a political ideology it is no longer a worthy or believable source.

Today the Media Research Center is releasing a new Special Report entitled “The Media’s  Obama Miracle: How Journalists Pretend There Aren’t Any White House Scandals.” It reveals just how dramatically the networks have avoided Fast and Furious,  Solyndra, and other Obama scandals.

On October 27, 2011, former Newsweek senior editor Jonathan Alter  wrote a column for Bloomberg News headlined “Obama Miracle is White House Free  of Scandal.” Alter began: “President Barack Obama goes into the 2012 [race] with  a weak economy that may doom his reelection. But he has one asset that hasn’t  received much attention: He’s honest.”

Alter even bragged: “According to a metric created by political scientist  Brendan Nyhan, Obama set a record earlier this month for most days without a  scandal of any president since 1977.” Nyhan’s methodology insisted  that a president doesn’t have a scandal until The Washington Post calls it a “scandal” by using that precise word.

This grants nearly all the power in defining what is or is not a scandal to  the Washington media elite. Congress can launch investigations, hold hearings,  or otherwise make real news, but journalists have repeatedly ignored or  dismissed the Obama scandals.

  1. And this goodie today by the NYT, seems Obama is consumed about news….especially about himself and his policies. Creepiest article I’ve ever read about him:

    • and this is the real problem
“The news media have played a crucial role in Mr. Obama’s career, helping to make him a national star not long after he had been an anonymous state legislator.”
      So invested, so stupid…

Baraks beard is looking shaggy and unkempt.

      • Carole

Do you mean his facial hair or mooch his wife Zoinks?

        • zoinks

Sasquatch, his wife. (oh god, was that an IRS audit just rammed through my mail slot?)

  2. I’m not sure what to make of the recent turn of events by MSM. Some of the more liberal shows and publications are questioning BO’s words and actions. Are they really turning on him, or is it part of a plan to help his campaign down the road?

    • If Gibbs mouth moves, he’s lying…period

    • zoinks

Let the girl get her “women are only sexual objects” rant on. She’s the reason why obama is going to blow it.

    • Fluke is a fluke….whiny little activist lying bitch

      • zoinks

I wish the FLOTUS/POUTUS would go out for an evening, and leave sandra fluke to babysit their spoiled rotten brats. They’d come home to fake pubic hair drawn in sharpee pen on all their barbies, and condoms covering all 65 wooden spoons in the kitchen.

        • LOL 😀

    • Carole

Will someone please give Fluke her free birth control pills so she will go home and stop thinking she needs to stand up for most American women. I bought my own birth control pills and never thought about crusading to get freebies. Go home Fluke, I am sure the line of men outside your door disappeared after you made a fool out of yourself the first time.

      • She has a semi wealthy man friend…let him buy…$9.00 at Target
If she can vacation in Europe, she can afford her own.

This one set me over the edge. Please don’t read my comments on Weasel Zippers. I sort of lost it and became a potty mouth.

    • She doesn’t have a job…no one elected the FFA to do anything. A lot of us would be happy to never see or hear from the First Nanny.

    • Made sure to read your comment….You go!! LOL 😀

    • Like 100 times!!

    • srdem65

tsk. tsk. such language…..(snort) I hit “like” but it’s really “like x 1,000”.

      • Carole

Poor, poor Mooch, she doesn’t make any money sponging off the tax payers. She works only two times a week as First Lady, someone else takes care of her gardens, she goes off on expensive vacays to get away from all the work she never does anyway, and she eats lobster and rich food at bashes thrown at the White House and elsewhere and only drinks expensive wine and top shelf vodka. Gee, I think she is paid very well by the peons (folks) who foot the bill (taxes), very well indeed!

    • Cyndi

I couldn’t resist reading your comment (sorry), it was spot on and very very well stated.

    • Astroserf

You were great, Domanii. Sort of opened the floodgate it appears.

  4. In an online analysis, ABC claimed Republicans were basically lying: “Republicans have seized on the line ‘you didn’t build that’ to falsely claim that Obama was speaking directly to business owners about their businesses.” On CBS, morning anchor Charlie Rose complained about Obama being taken out of context, and the network’s political analyst John Dickerson agreed that Obama needed to be defended: “Exactly, and what the President was saying, is it takes a village, essentially.”

When Obama said “Look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own,” he knew whereof he spoke. Everything he’s gained in politics has been granted to him by an adoring news media. Look no further than Steve Kroft beginning his first Obama interview in 2007 by seriously comparing Obama with Abraham Lincoln.

It’s no surprise that many voters have a serious feeling of buyer’s remorse. But our shameless media have no remorse at all for foisting this man on the country, and no capacity for embarrassment that they put him on Mount Rushmore without an accomplishment to his name. It’s too bad America can’t vote to send the media packing. But they can, and should turn off the nightly narratives lamely called a “newscast.”

  5. That sucking sound you hear is more taxpayer money going down the DOE hole and flooding into China….

  6. Remember the “you lie” moment from Wilson?……well, he was totally right to say so….
they do and are lying….no doubt about it and, the press is covering for them

  7. Wikipedia LOCKS editing access after Stephen Colbert tells his followers to mess with Mitt Romney’s VP hopefuls’ pages….does anyone really think this is funny or intelligent

  8. Emails proving the WH and GSA are lying …

‘Our FPS Commander in Portland says they are standing down and following GSA’s request to only intervene if there is a threat to public safety.’
Peck, the recipient of the email, replied: ‘Caitlin: yes, that is our position; it’s been vetted with our administrator and Michael Robertson, our chief of staff, and we have communicated with the WH [White House], which has afforded us the discretion to fashion our approach to Occupy issues.
‘The arrests last week were carried out despite our request that the protesters be allowed to remain and to camp overnight.’
The emails come several days after the start of protests on GSA-owned property; a week before, Portland police, some wearing riot gear, had arrested 25 protestors”

The Dems did everything they could to get the OWS movement into the piublic’s eye. It was their hope that resentment and selfishness would make it as powerful as the tea party.
Epic failure and a costly embarassment to the Dems who now pretend to not know anything.

I believe that the movement was a result of a think-tank out of Obama headquarters where the anti-WallStreet/rich people was going to be a big part of O’s campaign. It’s really impressive that they planned so far in advance with their anti-everything, including the anti-women crappola. Looking back at one of the Repub debates when they were asked about “contraception” and everyone looking puzzeled, but it was a question placed by the O campaign to set the table for the stupid anti-women crappola.

      • YEP, and good ol’ Stephanopoulas opened the door…more media leftist BS

So many people made fun of the FBI agent who saw angels around the crash site on 9-11 and here is Pelosi saying Susan B Anthony and others spoke to her at the White House:
I don’t disbelieve at all in angels and spirits appearing, just found this interesting from Pelosi.

    • I really think Pelosi has you really think those ladies would think women have come a long way? Our culture has not freed anyone, it has instead demeaned women even more. If she’s speaking to “spirits” then she’s bumping her head against the ceiling. None of us are supposed to do that, not at all.

      • srdem65

Women HAVE come a long way in my lifetime. There were no police or firefighters who were women. There was no sports program for girls in public schools.
Women who suffered beatings were expected to “be more supportive” and the abuse would stop, because it must have been their fault.
Women are expected to pay child support when fathers have custody.
Abortions were performed on kitchen tables (not that today’s legal abortions are right) and women died because having a child out of wedlock was shameful.
No one talked about menopause or ever menstration as if it were a shameful thing.

Women were expected to act a certain way, to talk a certain way or suffer the consequences. Rape victims were assumed to have “asked for it”.

There’s still a lot of things that should be changed but these things don’t happen overnight. I have hopes that my granddaughters will see true equality.

        • While I can and do agree with the legal aspects of your post, it does seem to me we’re heading backward in a lot of ways. Hip hop culture is a big reason why, especially in the urban areas.

          • Astroserf

I agree with SRDem as well, but the whole freedom thing has resulted in a coursening of the culture to the point that s***s like Fluke are almost considered mainstream.

  11. More fraud and abuse….but the IRS didn’t notice it..employees “are discouraged from flagging potentially fraudulent ITIN applications.”

    • domanii

What’s the matter? Does it require them to actually WORK to stop the payments? They have absolutely no problem coming after the citizens to squeeze a lousy few bucks they feel are owed to them, they should have no trouble going after the frauds who take more money than us who make honest mistakes.

      • Something is definitely out of whack. Maybe illegal seasonal workers? Who knows unless they investigate…

    • geoprof

I’ll add my two cents’ worth on the media. I don’t give them the respect of MSM anymore. They are merely overpaid teleprompter readers who are trained by Media Matters to parrot the Journolist daily memes. Soros expects to get good lying value out of his investment. If they aren’t lying, then they just aren’t reporting. It is disgraceful in our democratic society that things have come to this point.

  12. They lie and lie and lie and lie…Joe Wilson said it right….

[…]President Barack Obama’s campaign had been pleading ignorance, distancing itself from the super PAC ad.

But earlier this year, the Obama campaign featured the same worker, Joe Soptic, as a prominent part of its own attack on Romney’s handling of GST Steel as the CEO of Bain Capital.

On “Morning Joe” today, Obama senior adviser Robert Gibbs said he had “seen some write-ups” of the ad and said he didn’t know the “specifics of this man’s case.”

On CNN’s “Starting Point,” deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said she “didn’t know the facts” of Soptic and his wife.

Soptic, though, was featured in an Obama campaign attack ad and conference call on May 14, in which he told the story of his wife’s cancer.

“I couldn’t afford to buy it for my wife,” Soptic says on the call of his inability to purchase health insurance for his wife. “I had to put her in a county hospital because she didn’t have health care. When the cancer took her away, all I got was an enormous bill.”

“Thank you, Joe,” Cutter says on the conference call. “We really appreciate you … sharing your experiences.”[…]

Yep, same clothes, same time, same asshats…

  13. OT- I finally found you all! I felt like the New Hampshire delegation in 1776, going all around town trying to find the Congress!
I feel horrible about the bullying Newsbird endured, and strangely, when the blog disappeared, that was my first thought. My family had taken in U.S.S.R. dissidents when I was a young girl, so what else was I to think when the blog disappeared?
Thank you, Lynn II, for continuing the blog.

    • Welcome to the nest, Tanna. Glad you made it!! 😀

    • We tried to find all the stranded birdies…so glad you found us. Welcome back!!

  14. srdem65

    OT: way OT
the Olympics. Goodness, I have cheered, sighed and even cried when our own won, lost and came so close to winning the gold. Kudos to them all.

While the individuals gave it their all, I was more impressed with the grouped sports; a team that shared everything, no one a super-star.
I also was impressed by the dedication, win or lose, of those from third-world countries who showed us what grace and humility can bring to the competition.

another observation; even though some of the contests called for skimpy outfits, there was never a smarmy feel to the event. If the garment pulled to the wrong way, so what?
It was all about the beauty and physical force of the athlete and not their sex.
It’s nice to admire pure sportsmanship without any of the typical spin we usually see.

    • I’ve enjoyed it as well…the best of the best competing…it’s a grand event and the athletes are in their glory. Huzzah to all the winners!

  15. Seeing through the sleaze…BO doesn’t deserve to be re-elected…
[…]Further complicating Obama’s effort to remain removed from the ad was Psaki’s admittance that the campaign was familiar with Joe Soptic, the widower featured in the commercial. On Wednesday, Psaki had said the campaign was unfamiliar with his story — until journalists then pointed out he had been featured in an Obama ad and conference call with reporters.

“No one is denying that he was in one of our campaign ads,” she said Thursday. “He was on a conference call telling his story, which speaks to what many, many people in this country have gone through as there have been layoffs and they’ve had their benefits reduced.”

The Romney campaign jumped on her admission.

“The Obama campaign acknowledged today that it ran a television ad and hosted a conference call that promoted the same despicable attack that was used in a discredited ad run by President Obama’s super-PAC. The Obama campaign has now admitted that it lied to the media and the American people in a disgraceful attempt to conceal their connection to this shameful smear,” said Romney campaign spokesman Ryan Williams in a statement.[…]

  16. Republican Governors have already spoken up about their questions to the Administration on welfare reform…nothing BO’s campaign said they had asked for was true…more lies

[…] Psaki cautioned against comparing the Priorities USA ad to Romney’s campaign ad attacking the president’s welfare reforms, which she called a “bold-face lie.”[…]

All they have to do is look in the mirror for the bold faced liars.

  17. Here we go again….more money for “wind energy subsidies”…and anything else he can find to bail out
[…]“I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back,” he said. “Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry.[…]

    • srdem65

What a doofus, ignorant jerk. Every industry? like what? Oh, I know…let’s support the coal industry instead of shutting down the mines. what a nimrod jerk.

He’s talking about socializing American industry.

      • Astroserf

        Isn’t his goal fascism?
