Lynn's Little Nest

A fine site

Have they all lost their collective minds?

We are now entering the Linda Blair portion of campaigning. Ever since Paul Ryan was announced as the R-word VP selection the Dems have gone off the deep end. All of the top spokespeople, you know the crew I am speaking of, running to every available talk and news show to expound on the “Ryan budget” which will either “end medicare as we know it”,  “push gramma off a cliff”, or some other horror. While Romney and Ryan are meeting with constituents talking about jobs and the economy, BO is off his meds and talking about ‘things people drive around with on the roofs of their cars’ (at least Romney never ate his dog…hmmm). Looks like none of the DNC talking heads want to remind anyone of the 700+ billion cut to medicare in BO’s phenomenally popular healthcare bill.  They also don’t want you to know the so called “Ryan budget” was a co-operative effort with a Democrat, who it seems also has a degree of ethics. Oh look, it is a bi-partisan effort. Is it any wonder the Dems are spinning around like something out of the ‘Excorcist’?

Sen. Ron Wyden (D., Ore.) has a lengthy post on his website detailing the bipartisan Medicare reform proposal he crafted in 2011 with Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, who has been the target of relentless Democratic attacks.

Wyden’s post, titled “Bipartisan Health Options,” undermines the political attacks lobbied by members of his own party, explaining that Congress must act soon to save Medicare from insolvency…….[snip]

The Oregon Democrat further notes that the Wyden-Ryan plan contains “no changes for those in or near retirement” and retains traditional Medicare as an option for seniors, two facts that appear to be lost on the likes of Democratic National Committee chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz (D., Fla.).

Let’s face it the left has gotten the hell scared out of them with Ryan as VP pick. Don’t know about all of you, but I am thrilled and so is most of OH. Likely voters are favorable to Ryan 56/39 percent. Note to the squeamish ickies in the R-word party, Ryan is exactly what Romney needs. Even seniors like him, they would prefer not to have their kids and grandkids go over the cliff either.

The latest polls for Election 2012

The latest email from the BO campaign is another of those scary ‘you better give us money or the dreaded R-words will dismantle your lifestyle and kill you’ type pieces of junk signed by Jim Messina.

You might be wondering why the hell Romney picked this guy. But this is a strategic pick that carries real danger for us.

The only real danger of Romney’s choice of Paul Ryan?  He is an intellect, capable of shredding all the DNC talking points, is considered one of the most sincere ethical congress persons on the Hill and, is well respected by his colleagues on both sides of the aisle whether they agree with him or not. He earned that. I can smell the fear in the Obots, can you?

At the end of the day, the only things that are shovel ready around here are the words coming out of Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s mouth.

  1. Mitt Romney used a tough new campaign speech to personally blast the Obama campaign on Tuesday, saying comments earlier in the day from Vice President Biden are “what an angry and desperate Presidency looks like.”

“Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago,” Romney said while campaigning in Ohio.

  2. Hoo boy…this is getting good!

“Mr. President, you did not kill Osama bin Laden, America did. The work that the American military has done killed Osama bin Laden. You did not,” Ben Smith, identified as a Navy SEAL, says in the film.

“As a citizen, it is my civic duty to tell the president to stop leaking information to the enemy,” Smith continues. “It will get Americans killed.”

An Obama campaign official said: “No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have, and it’s clear they’ve resorted to making things up for purely political reasons.”

If anyone has the right to speak with any degree of authority on this particular subject, it’s the SEALS. Notice the spokeman for BO’s campaign admitted to the leaks.

    • srdem65

Finally! How long we suffered listening to the trashy and rude Dems, the Prez bragging that HE killed BinLaden and the phony balony love-fest with the military.
The Romney campaign is hitting Obama with taking $750Billion from Medicare to give to Obamacare. Hitting them hard, if any senior was worried about MrRyan they got the truth today.
Dirty rotten politics is not the American way. We don’t like dirty politics. If a candidate has some real dirt or crime on his opponent; prove it or STFU.

      • Hopefully they will make a big impact…the newsies aren’t reporting much on the leaks.
Don’t want to hurt their ‘darling’ Bo’s chances of getting re-elected.

  3. Ryan got under the “hollywood crowd’s skin…they’re never going to forgive him for this one… 😀
“got the House of Representatives to agree by a voice vote to cut the program from the CDC’s 2008 budget. He described the outlay as “clearly an expense that should have been covered by the successful, for-profit television shows, not by our hard-earned tax dollars.””

  4. Callousness in the pursuit of power….doesn’t BO care that he is killing over 5 million children a year with his ethanol demands? One word from BO to the EPA would go a long way to stop this madness…but, those campaign funds and lobbyists are much more important than the Black or Brown children of Africa and India or, even here in the US.

  5. “Ryan’s story puts the credit for American success where it belongs. We are people, working hard for ourselves and our families, not a mere collection of government programs and infrastructure projects in which the greatest height an individual can reach is filing ever-larger 1040s.”
YEP, Americans built this country, we built a thriving economy, we did this, not the government. BO is turning it into a train wreck. We want our country back and are going to keep saying so until BO is tossed out of Big White. Big government has gone too far!

    • Looking at Ryan’s wiki, you can see the many jobs he took to get through college. Miami U of Oxford Is not a rich man’s school, but the Maths Dept. is very good. I am an alumni of Miami, also graduated in ’92. I, too, worked many jobs to get through college.
He knows what it’s like to work hard for what he wants, he knows what it’s like to serve beer for tips. I definately want him in the White House.

  6. HAH!! Crowd waiting for Romney in Chillicothe OH… 😀

    • Hollydolly

      What an inspiring picture!

      • srdem65

OMG! I wish I were there, too.

  7. States fighting back against the economically incompetent ….
[…]In fact, state lawmakers’ resolve to fight back against uncompetitive federal policies has escalated this year. Legislators from across the country recently spoke out against the Obama administration’s unprecedented efforts to step up global tax enforcement. A bipartisan group at the American Legislative Exchange Council’s annual conference last month amended a model resolution in opposition to federal efforts to enhance global tax enforcement.. They noted, “federal officials have been coordinating with other nations for the purpose of creating worldwide tax enforcement.”

The Obama administration has made the U.S.’s federal tax and regulatory disadvantage worse, dragging its feet on no-brainer trade agreements while our competitors were inking them in droves. It has also demonized U.S. companies who engage in international commerce. Yet a number of enterprising governors and state legislators have done all they can to make their states players in the global economy — despite the anti-competitive federal policies coming from the economically illiterate White House.[…]

GREAT POST, Lynn! R² is so exciting! And now if we can just do something about the roundheeled Senate…

    • Thank yew! 😀

  9. I truly believe that Romney/Ryan are going to hit BO hard with something in September/October, maybe even at the debates. And it will be something BIG that he cannot recover from (and is not prepared for). I can’t wait.

  10. francinepink

Good essay about choice of moderators for debates:

  11. One thing that I really love is seeing R&R hit back hard at the zero’s policies/etc w/ cold hard facts. They don’t get ugly like the left. They just blast the truth out there and stand by it. I love that they are not backing down from the left’s crap, and I especially love that Ryan is admired and respected by both sides of the aisle. His knowledge on economic and budget affairs is brilliant, and I am so pleased he can speak w/o a teleprompter and can answer questions w/o the “uhs….ums….etc” that the zero does. I love how, despite the left claiming that the tea party, right-wing, conservatives are racist/crazy/mob mentality nut jobs, that thousands upon thousands are showing up and supporting R&R and doing so in a peaceful, “normal”, decent way. I especially love how Romney put that one heckler in his place, and also for telling O to get his campaign out of the gutter. So many good things are happening now, and I hope this is a taste of what is yet to come. I am so thankful that the “sleeping giant” seems to have been awakened, and despite all the negativity coming out of the left and media, everything is actually quite the contrary when you see photos of HUGE peaceful crowds waiting politely and patiently to hear and support R&R. So happy indeed!!

    • Never thought I would see the day….BO is done 😀

    • Earlier this morning, Ed Henry on Fox, said that BO’s crowds were in the “couple of thousands” also used “a few thousand”….compared to 10,000’s for R²!!

  12. Voter ID laws being upheld!!…Take that Holder et al…

“A judge in the election battleground state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday rejected an effort to block the state’s voter identification law, which civil rights groups argued discriminates against minority voters.”

    • I still cannot get one single person to explain to me how voter ID laws are racist. People opposed to the laws have stated time and time again that the elderly and minorities are being discriminated against. When I point out that the laws affect everyone, there is no response. I will gladly stand against anything that does discriminate based on race, but these laws do not. End of story.

      • Anon

If there were a check attached to getting those ID cards, every one of those “Obama supporters” would be in line at 4:00 in the morning to get one no matter how poor, old or drug addicted they were.. Why are they the only ones incapable of obtaining an ID card.

        • Carole

Lazy? Non English speakers? Felons? Non USA citizens?

  13. srdem65

All these months the Dems complained that so many didn’t have photo ID when they should have been helping their people actually get the ID’s. It’s not a secret White or young thing, it’s not racist or offensive to have an ID.

  14. A must see video This is OPSEC…a group of military, special ops, and intelligence specialists on the BO’s security leaks. Pass it on, please!

“An Obama campaign official said: “No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have, and it’s clear they’ve resorted to making things up for purely political reasons.”

    • Carole

I passed the video onto my ew-mail buddies. Thanks Anie’s Mom.

  15. Yup, he’s in such bad shape, they called in MO:

    • Dubious if she will help any….do they think the crowds will swell if she shows up?

    • Why not crowd shots if they’re both so popular…

    • Carole

At least the black stubble doesan’t show under her arm pits.

  16. “Stay-at-home nonvoters are more likely to support President Barack Obama than Mitt Romney, according to a new USA Today/Suffolk University poll out today.”

    • Carole

The one’s on public assistance won’t want tro lose their golden eggs from the supreme golden goose (fed gov.) so they probably will vote for Obama to sustain their status quo.

  17. Oopsie…but note BO’s body language….not a happy camper, I’d say.

    • srdem65

What could BO have in his pocket? Seriously. He doesn’t need keys, a swiss army knife, money, a comb….is he carrying some cigs and a pack of matches? A pen?

      • sportinlife10

Haven’t folks elsewhere established him as an Olympic Pocket Pool player?

    • Has she never heard of weighting her skirts? My word. The poor photographer. Hope he didn’t have to file for workers’ comp.

      • Seriously! I never see her use any of the fashion tricks available to smarten her appearance. Straight off the hanger and right onto her back. I’m surprised that the price tags aren’t still attached.

    • srdem65

I don’t know what happened to her. She was our governor here in AZ and didn’t say or do anything exotic, she didn’t make everybody mad at her. She did an OK job.
Then she goes to DC and acts like a butch weirdo, lies about everything and forgot that she had sworn to uphold the constitution and the laws of our land.

    • So many scandals, so little time….feral women …this is not feminism….

  18. The Original

OT: One of the pitchers from my favorite baseball team threw a perfect game! Go, King Felix!

    • YEAH!! 😀

      • The Original

Only the 23rd time in the history of major league baseball. And it was done in Safeco Field in Seattle. We have a really, really young team, but in a couple of years we might be a pretty good team.

    • sportinlife10

Carole, surely you meant the Republican Convention?

      • Carole

Gee had Dim-o-cats on my mind. Sure did, meant Republican…

  20. sportinlife10

FWIW: I have begun engaging just about everyone I meet in political talk – didn’t used to. But now, as we are bagging our groceries, I begin by mentioning how high prices are, and we naturally move on into getting rid of that incompetent (okay, it’s too mild, but I have to start somewhere) in Washington. The guy at the nursery, the guy here to fix my appliance, all ofthem. And they all agree.
Now, if only I had the courage to tackle those idiots I’m related to…professional libs, every manjack one of ’em.

  21. Open mouth, insert foot. I’m sure BO will catch hell for this.

“Barack Obama narrowly avoids a family feud after suggesting his dog Bo has more charisma than his mother-in-law”

    • Carole

Poor Bo. They only play with him for photo ops. I wonder if Obutt suffers from intestinal parasites from eating dog. It seems to me that sometime back, thew media said he was suffering from intestinal parasites and that was why he was so thin.

      • sportinlife10

Do I want to think about the o and Diarrhea?

    • Wonder where “mom” will live when they’re tossed out of Big White?
Bet big MO kicked his a** over that one… LOL 😀

      • Granny will live with MO and the girls. Bo, on the other hand…

    • Anon

I sorta have to agree with him on that one!

    • Open mouth, insert foot. I’m sure BO will catch hell for this.

LOL 😀 oh yes, he will

  22. Carole

I rthought this article would be a great read for the Birdies, especially Lynn II. I am not as well informed as some of the others Birdies about political issues. I hope this means that the Obama regim is about to fold under and swim back into the sewers of southside Chicago along with all his czars and cronies. Please, oh please let this be the last of the Obutts!!

  23. domanii

Hi ladies. Things look like they’re picking up, finally. Paul Ryan has been such a big boost for Romney. I’m happy to see Romney fighting back and putting Obama in his place (Chicago). I had the opportunity to talk to a Romney fundraiser this evening on the phone. The speil? Defeat Obamacare. Very simple. They asked for a $500 donation which I can no way afford, but I did manage to give what I could and the lady was so thankful. She knows that there are many people who just don’t have the means anymore to spare money in any amount but was gracious and asked me more than once if I was sure I could spare that amount. That in itself was more than kind and made me feel even better about giving what I could.
