Oh yes, we are exceptional!

No matter what Obama tells you, we are the greatest nation on this planet. Look at us, 300 million plus, who don’t agree on everything and, sometimes nothing, but we do agree on one huge thing. While we wrangle and disagree, frequently vehemently on politics, we are the only nation that has never seen a military coup nor have we ever seen a President try to stay in office when it was time for them to leave, whether by losing an election or by serving in office for maximum allowable time. From the time of Washington to the present day every single transition from one President to another has been a mostly peaceful affair. That is huge!

America, you are exceptional, you are beautiful and don’t ever forget it.

On  ‘This Week With George Stephanopoulos’  Mary Matalin took on Krugman calling him out on his misstatements about Mitt Romney.  Politics with teeth! From Gateway Pundit

Conservative Mary Matalin stunned liberal activist Paul Krugman today on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

Matalin pounded Krugman during the discussion on Romney’s debate win this past week, “You’re hardly credible on calling somebody else a liar.” This was great…

Obama is falling apart and so is his campaign. It’s one thing to caricature your opponent when he can’t fight back and be heard above the sycophantic press but, a whole different message has come out since the debate.  Americans now are beginning to see the Mitt Romney who has the qualities to be President of the US. The New York Daily News sums this up quite nicely.

Once Romney came across as knowledgeable, clear and deeply concerned about the  state of the country, the entire vilification campaign of summer and early fall  looked shaky and less convincing……snip

Only Romney himself could look the voters in the eye and demonstrate that he  had the knowledge, the composure, the deftness and the concern they wanted to  see. Romney’s message was simple but resonant — if we can get more Americans in  jobs, we’ll see dramatic improvement in our budgetary, debt and social  conditions.

When all Americans are doing well, as we have in the past, our country is better fit to care for those who need help. We don’t need to appease those who disagree with our guiding principles by shredding our Constitution to benefit their barbaric cult-like religion or even those in this country who keep telling us to “shut up and sit down”.

While Obama has increased foreign aid on his watch by 80%, our own veterans are being shortchanged. We borrow billions just to send it to corrupt governments and tyrants and our own military suffers. The backlog of claims for benefits is staggering and has jumped during the Obama administration.  Add that to the list of grievances we have against this administration.  The backlog has jumped to 179% during Obama’s term of office. Not a number he should be proud of, to say the least. From CNS News with VA statistics at the link.

The backlog of claims is at near-record highs, with 65.8 percent of claims being backlogged for 125 days or more.

The total claims include disability claims by veterans as well as from surviving spouses, children, or parents. As the VA explains, these claims are “based upon the effects of disabilities, diseases, or injuries incurred or aggravated during military service.” And the claims by spouses, children, or parents   are based “upon the Veteran’s death due to service-related causes.”

Obama wants you to believe we are not exceptional but, it is he and his cohorts who are not. They are a drag on this country and have fettered business expansion, established permanent bailouts for “too big to fail” banks written in the Dodd-Frank Bill and, shut down the ability to use our own resources for the benefit of the American people. The result is higher gas prices, higher home heating costs, higher electric costs. How does this benefit the poor or middle class that Obama claims to have so much empathy for?  From American Thinker;

An  increase in gas prices from $1.78 a gallon–when Bush left office– to  $3.80/gal–todays price–is equivalent to a flat tax of 4.6% on a family making  $23,000. That means that that poor family, based on typical  gas usage by lower income families, will have to use nearly 5% of every  dollar they make in a year to cover the increase in the cost of gas under  President Obama.

Our choice is clear, we can vote for a confident successful man who has turned around many failing companies including the Olympic Games or, stick with a feckless man who has depressed this country psychologically and economically for the past four years. One and done….Romney/Ryan 2012.

  1. Speaking louder then words.

  2. I hope that commercial is run in all of the swing states. Very effective as it stands out from the rest of the political ads.

    • Please pass it along.

This is how a lot of America feels about their situation today. I know so many who have lost their jobs, their homes or filed for bankruptcy. They are depressed, some are ashamed and it breaks my heart. My peer group lived and worked in 50 years of prospertiy and while I and most of us didn’t get rich, we never went hungry, always found a new job and were proud homeowners who paid our taxes on time. The American dream is gone and I fear for the young.

      • I know what you mean. We’re okay, but too many americans are not. It hurts my heart to know how awful Obama has made it for so many by his failed policies. Shameful we give so much to foreign govs and keep our own down like this. The only answer is to get these nutters out of office and soon.

  3. Reasons to vote for BO…by the famous political scientist Snoop Lion…hilarity ensues (warning language)

[…]Snoop wrote that a good reason for voting for Obama is because “He’s hugged Beyonce before and sniffed her neck,” and most importantly, Snoop has “seen that n*gga hoop before and he got a jumper.” And we all know that the most important quality in a president is that “he mad cool yo.”

Snoop is equally impressed with the current first lady, as one of his reasons for re-electing Obama is because “Michelle got a fat ass.”[…]

  4. “Actress Stacey Dash, who has starred in everything from the 90′s hit Clueless to CSI, prompted a firestorm on Twitter after publicly endorsing Republican nominee Mitt Romney, and then standing by her opinion.”……….then was immediately torn apart by the left for not being “black enough” and requesting she “kill herself”. The left keeping it classy.

I don’t remember politics being so violently mean. There are a lot of people afraid to publically say who they’re voting for in fear of retalitation.

The obscentiy and foul words from the Black communtiy are astonishing.

    • Another reminder that Free Speech is never really free.

A friend of my parents is a well-known producer in Hollywood. He is one of the few who publicly admits to being a Republican. He said the # of Republicans in H’wood is larger than you think, but the majority vocally support the Left for fear of never working again. I hope that Md. Dash is not punished because she has chosen to stand up for her beliefs instead of being another Tinseltown Zombie.

It is one thing for a Hollywood legend like Clint to speak out but quite another for someone so young who doesn’t have the legend reputation.

  5. Weekend dump…

This past weekend we found out that the Obama State Department withdrew a 16 member special forces team from Benghazi one month before the deadly attacks on 9-11. Lt. Col. Andy Wood was the leader of the 16 member special forces team whose job it was to protect US personnel in Libya. His team’s mission ended in August a month before the deadly Al-Qaeda attack on 9-11. A six member mobile security team was also withdrawn around the same time. This was despite the fact that there were over a dozen attacks in the country this year. Lt. Col. Wood was subpoenaed to appear at a House committee hearing this coming week. Wood told CBS News it was unbelievable to him that the State Department withdrew security when they did because of the 13 security incidents before 9-11.

  6. Obama has spent most of his life convincing people that he is qualified for things that he isn’t qualified for. He has faked his biography a disturbing number of times, padded out his resume and leaped from position to position until he became the living embodiment of the Peter Principle. He doesn’t work for things, but skates by on doing the least amount of work possible. When he falls behind, then he quickly tries to get up to speed and dives in while hoping that no one notices.

That is what happened at the debate where Obama gave the kind of performance you would expect from an Illinois Congressman, which is the job that he should have had about now. And had he been running for that position, few would have questioned his abilities or qualifications. But it’s not an acceptable performance from a presidential candidate.

Romney is a qualified professional. Obama is a talented amateur. None of that is really new. What is new is the product comparison that the debate made possible.

That comparison is the game changer for both candidates. The difference between an amateur (Obama) and a professional (Romney)

Obama’s plan for Ohio, redistribute the wealth of the suburbs to bail out the struggling inner cities:

  8. Sorry for this but….DAMN!!

[…]The unusual website redirects traffic directly to a donation page on the Obama campaign’s official website,, which does not require donors to enter their credit card security code (known as the CVV code), thereby increasing the likelihood of foreign or fraudulent donations. The website is managed by a small web development firm, Wicked Global, in Maine. One of Wicked Global’s employees, Greg Dorr, lists on his LinkedIn page his additional employment with Peace Action Maine and Maine Voices for Palestinian Rights. According to the GAI report, 68 percent of all Internet traffic to comes from foreign visitors.[…]

  9. Obama Campaign Is Misrepresenting My Study on Romney’s Tax Plan

There are lies and then there are damned lies.

  10. Uh oh…more trouble for BO….

[…]“When I approved the sale agreement and entered the sale approval order I mistakenly thought that I was merely saving GM, the supply chain, and about a million jobs. It never once occurred to me, and nobody bothered to disclose, that amongst all of the assigned contracts was this lock-up agreement, if indeed it was assigned at all,” Gerber said in July.

Industry experts say GM should be very concerned with the judge’s reaction to the deal.

“The judge has made it very clear that he is greatly dissatisfied with the process,” one analyst said. “He’s basically implying that GM hid it from him and that reopening the sale is a possibility.”

More is at stake than the roughly $1 billion that “old GM’s” spurned creditors are seeking, according to industry observers.

“The judge does not have a line item veto—he can’t just go in and take out money; he may have to reopen the entire bailout,” one bankruptcy expert, who requested anonymity because he has current business with the automaker, told the Washington Free Beacon. “If he reopens, everyone can come back and fight over how the bailout should have happened.”[…]

What we have been saying over and over. Blacks have been hard hit by this President to the point that gains over the last 30 years have been wiped out.

    • Part of the reason is public service employment has dropped…..the other part is education for a lot of urban black families means “acting like whitey”. And yes, we have been saying this over and over. The more BO and his elite academic asshats do, the worse it gets for minority groups, all middle class groups.

“Why I’m Voting for Mitt Romney”

    • srdem65

The lefties are just too stunned to speak clearly anymore. We all know we saw the “real” BarackObama at the debate. We all know that Michelle Obama is an idiot, too.
Without a teleprompter, they’re both lost and sound like high school dropouts.
Tothink that they both held law licences at one time!

I think two things happened to make MrO not care so much….1. the public defeat when they didn’t secure the Olympics for Chicago (remember how they bragged they had it in the bag?)and 2. the incredible turn a bout that the voters did in the 2010 election (he lost all control of the Congress).

      • Francine

The lefties are stunned and like their fearless leader are blaming anything and anyone but Obama for his poor performance. Here is one excuse:

“It was much like dealing with a bully or an abusive spouse. The aggressiveness is so unexpected that it throws the receiver off his or her stride and makes it hard to come back effectively. I am sure that is purposeful. It is very clear to me this is the same Romney who attacked that boy back when he was 18 and cut off his hair (and lied about it afterwords).”

        And another:

“As the first Black United States President, I believe that President Obama and his campaign team were also fully aware of the existence in the USA of the “Angry Black men” meme. Unlike his White opponent, if President Obama were to be verbally confrontive in that debate, those who adhere to that “Angry Black men” meme would then use that as proof that he wasn’t Presidental because-in their view- all Black males are angry brutes.

I’m of the opinion that President Obama had a long game, rope a dope approach to that first debate. In the first debate, he gave Romney enough rope for him to hang himself, and in the long run people will see that Romney had done just that by his changed positions and his lies and by highly unpopular promise to fire Big Bird and [debate moderator] Jim Lehrer, a promise that feeds into Romney’s “I like to fire people” Plutocrat persona.

As a result of President Obama’s measured, professorial approach to that first debate, more people in the public are calling for jim to “take off the gloves” and be more assertive in each of the other two debates. And I’m sure that President Obama will be much more assertive in those debates. As to whether President Obama wants to be reelected, I’m also very convinced that he does.”

I visited “Hillbuzz” tonight. I haven’tbeen there for a long time and Kevin is still the hottest blogger from the Chicago scene. Well presented and well written.
His observations of what’s going on in Obamatown are striking.
