Roasting and toasting

Both candidates took time off the campaign trail last night and attended the Alfred E Smith charity dinner hosted by the Archdiocese of NY.  The candidates faced off again, poking fun at each other to the great delight of the audience in attendance. For once, Michelle Obama was not the center of attention. The white tie and tails affair gave Romney the opportunity to show his humorous side, the guy can deliver a line and has great timing. He poked fun at himself and the idea he is a stiff man with no sense of humor. WaPo reported on the roast;

“A campaign can require a lot of wardrobe changes — blue jeans in the morning,
perhaps, suits for a lunch fundraiser, sport coat for dinner — but it’s nice to
finally relax and wear what Ann and I wear around the house,” Romney said.

I really don’t think the audience was ready to enjoy Romney as much as they did. There was applause and laughter throughout his whole speech, mostly roasting Obama and taking a shot at the media.

“Of course, we’re down to the final months of the president’s term. As President Obama surveys the Waldorf banquet room with everybody in white tie and finery you have to wonder what he’s thinking: ‘So little time, so much to redistribute.’”

Romney added that he and Obama are both “very lucky to have one person who’s always in our corner, someone who we can lean on and someone who is a comforting presence without whom we wouldn’t be able to go another day. I have my beautiful wife, Ann; he has Bill Clinton.”

And Romney took a shot at the press, joking that he had “already seen early reports from tonight’s dinner. Headline: ‘Obama Embraced by Catholics, Romney Dines with Rich People.’”

Romney looked like he was having more fun then Obama. He was much wittier than Obama and definitely more relaxed. Follow up panel on Hannity was great. Even the leftist Leslie Marshall thought Romney was better than BO. How about that?

and from Breitbart, video at the link. Truly enjoyable and funny!!

For all that “war on women” talk coming out as a Dem talking point, there is one Dem who thinks women should stop “whining” about their life choices.  She also stated there should be more “flexibility” in the workplace for women with children or aged parents to care for. Oh my, she agrees with Romney on that issue.

“I can’t stand whining,” Clinton told Marie Claire. “I can’t stand the kind of  paralysis that some people fall into because they’re not happy with the choices  they’ve made. You live in a time when there are endless choices. … Money  certainly helps, and having that kind of financial privilege goes a long way,  but you don’t even have to have money for it. But you have to work on yourself. … Do something!”

The “single issue” feminists should take note, women are not just their “lady parts”. We have come a long way baby and we are not as stupid as you believe. We are a multifaceted bunch and don’t scare easily. We work, raise our children (some have raised their grandchildren), take responsibility for ouselves, and we don’t whine about it. We do what we have to do. We are better than what you perceive us to be.

Pigs are flying! Bob Beckel finally admitted what the rest of us are keenly aware of in the political arena. Obama is struggling to keep up and Mitt Romney is surging in the polls. He was much more subdued on “The Five” Thursday as he made this pronouncement;

“If I were looking at the numbers and managing the presidential campaign, I  would be upset, I’m not sure panic. But if those numbers are correct — it is  over, it is over,” said Beckel, a co-host of Fox News’s “The Five.” “So I mean  you’re not going to bring Romney back under 50 percent from 52 percent, not a  challenger candidate. If that is correct. I don’t necessarily buy it’s correct.”

The left told us to “sit down and shut up”, we didn’t. The left called us names like “racist” and “Nazi”, we still stood our ground. The left tried every intimidation tactic they could come up with, it didn’t work. We refuse to regress to the 70s and want our country to make progress. We know the only way to accomplish that is by electing a President who will move us toward progress. The Romney/Ryan team is exactly what this country needs at this time, not a rock star Preezy who isn’t engaged or suited for the position. We’re more then a little fed up with “class warfare”, “race based politics” and a divisive President who didn’t fulfill his promise to us all.

Update, Anne looked gorgeous…

open thread….

  1. Mitt Romney is a very handsome man. He looked polished and Presidential in his white tie and tails. I can’t wait until his first State Dinner! He and Ann always look appropriate and stylish. No camel toe, painted on cleavage, boobbelts, etc. Nothing trendy or gaudy. Just clean, simple and classic.

    • Just think, no more thong show through in too tight pants.

      • In a weird way, I’ll miss the daily laugh she has provided.

        • First FLOTUS Daily Comedy Show… LOL 😀
We’ve been so wired it will be a relief to see her gone. She’s cost us too much in taxpayer money to keep around just for laughs…

  2. conner43

What the msm doesn’t get, is that strong women are attracted to strong men, we don’t feel we lose any gravitas by appreciating the Alpha male. Ann Romney is no shrinking violet by anyone’s measure. It will always mystify me what a ball buster like Moo saw in Girly Man.

    • Most of the men I’ve worked with are Alpha males. I’ve never been denigrated by any of them nor do they feel challenged by me. They know their skill sets, I know mine, and we work together for the end product. Pride in what we do is what we all have in common. Not one of them has ever made a discriminatory remark or treated me as less then an equal.
Feminists from a long gone era seem to stay insulted by men. I am really tired of hearing them “whine” about men. I really do think it’s time to stop beating up on our men and just let them be men.

  3. srdem65

It was a joy to watch the two candidates last night. MrR looking like everyone’s idea of a President, speaking so confident, so truly sure of who and what he is. MrO was his same smarmy self, giving the same kind of remarks that we hear him make in his campaign speeches.
Oh, my, MrsR looked lovely, elegant. As they sat together, she leaned into him, with her hand on his arm; that’s a gesture that long-time partners have in a good relationship.

MrR’s comments at the end of his routine had to make everyone there know exactly how he really feels about issues important to all religious people. He doesn’t just say them, he lives them. I couldn’t have been prouder of him if he was my “real” brother.

    • Yes, Romney thinks there are more important issues then politics….just like most of us here. We are a motley crew here at our little nest.

  4. Had to update the pic inserted…feel too good to have Obama’s up there in the post…we are going to win this one even if the Progs try to cheat.

  5. Excellent post LynnII! I watched the footage from last night’s dinner. I didn’t see mooch, but Anne looked lovely. I laughed at both men’s comments, but you are right, Mitt is far better at telling jokes than o is. I thought it was really funny when Mitt said something to the effect about how Cardinal Dolan could turn bo’s wine into water and his water into wine. But at the end, I thought it was very gracious of both men to compliment each other and to tell the world they thought each was a very nice family man and good husband. What a fun, nice evening that will benefit so many. And it was fun to watch on tv. Probably one of the few times I actually listened to bo w/o screaming at the tv or pushing mute.

    • Thanks, sometimes we need some humor and fun……this was a good break for all of us…. 😉

  6. Plans Obama has if re-elected will send chills up your spine…the EPA is not your friend
[…]”From greenhouse gas regulations to water guidance to the tightening of the ozone standard, the Obama-EPA has delayed the implementation of rule after rule because they don’t want all those pink slips and price spikes to hit until after the election.”

For the second wink, Inhofe quotes Obama’s former White House environmental czar Carol Browner, who recently reassured impatient environmentalists with these words: “I can tell you, having spent two years in the White House with the president, that this is not a fad. The president believes deeply in these issues … there is no doubt in my mind this will be a big part of his to-do list and he will remain committed in the next four years.”

In other words, Browner was saying, just wait, because Obama fears he might not get re-elected if he went ahead with his EPA plans before the election.[…]
    Read it all,

  7. Lawrence O’Donnell calls out Tagg Romney to a fist fight…desperate plea for attention at MSNBC. Whines about his childhood as being underprivileged…what an incredible asshat…if it wasn’t so pathetic it would be a LOL moment. Totally unhinged
    video at the link.

    • He is so full of it, my dad was from Boston, and went to the same high- end boys’ school as O’Donnell, whose father was an atty.

  8. An excerpt from a good article in American Thinker…on Obama channeling TR.

[…]Still, Mr, Obama might have been inspired instead by Theodore Roosevelt’s reaction to the seizure of an American Consul in North Africa by Muslim kidnappers. It was 1904, and, like Obama, TR was running for re-election. The hostage-takers, led by a desert bandit called the Raisuli, demanded ransom for the captured American Consul, Ion Perdicaris.

President Roosevelt’s response was terse. “We want Perdicaris alive or the Raisuli dead.”

We got Perdicaris alive. And afterward, TR even won the Nobel Peace Prize. Those were the days when Peace through Strength still echoed throughout the world.

Mr. Obama claimed Amb. Stevens as a friend. Yet as the ambassador’s broken body was being flown home, the president did not convene an emergency meeting of his National Security Council. Instead, he flew to Las Vegas for a fundraiser. We might say his actions were biblical: “Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child,
and your princes feast in the morning!” (Ecclesiastes 10:16).[…]

The coverup of Bengazi will be the final nail for BO, just like the cover-up for Watergate was for MrNixon.

      • I wasn’t sure, but now have no doubt you’re right

  9. srdem65

Lynn2; there is a photo of Mr&MrsRomney walking into the dinner last night that shows the full length gown that Ann is wearing. A black and white beauty.

MrsO was not in attendance last night.

    • srdem65

oops, hit the enter button too soon. sorry.
Please use your magic to find that photo, I don’t remember where I saw it.

        • She looks so nice, no gaudy jewelry….no need for any extras…she wears her gown, it doesn’t wear her. She’s going to make a great FLOTUS.

        • Annie's Mom

          She looks lovely…

      • Read your mind…photo is up now as an update….she looks just beautiful in that cape and gown.

  10. well, well, well….now they “flock”…

Report: DEMOCRATS Flock to Meet Romney at Alfred E. Smith Dinner in NYC (Video)

    • That can’t be right. They’re supposed to bow down before the annointed one.

      • Well….some may have….the rest saw the writing on the wall…maybe they think Romney IS a better “designated driver” than BO has been.. 😀

        • If only they would acknowledge this on the air or in print. Some are, but not many.

  11. YEP, this is working out so well…
“A solar company that got a multi-million-dollar grant from the Department of Energy earlier this year announced Wednesday that it will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, making it the second taxpayer-backed green energy company to file for bankruptcy this week.”

second one this week…picking winners and losers is not the job of the government

    • srdem65

How do you go backrupt in less than a year after you’ve received a multi-million dollar grant?
Somebody got rich, and we paid for it.

  12. BO has done it….the CIA is not liking the blame game done on them…..

“WASHINGTON (AP) – The CIA station chief in Libya reported to Washington within 24 hours of last month’s deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate that there was evidence it was carried out by militants, not a spontaneous mob upset about an American-made video ridiculing Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, U.S. officials have told The Associated Press”

    • srdem65

oopsie, Monday’s debate is going to be a hot one. Unless…..MrO decides not to appear because of “national security”. Coverup, coverup falling apart.

      • Pins and needles again….

  13. I told you this was coming….
“Lebanese Sunni Muslims poured onto the streets Friday to voice their anger over a deadly bomb blast which killed at least eight people, including top intelligence chief and senior Sunni figure Wissam al-Hassan.”

  14. Friday is movie night here…no politics allowed (rule for mom) ….Brett Baier is on the air with a special at 10:00 PM, “Death and Deceit in Benghazi”…has State Dept. cables and it looks really, really bad for Obama and Clinton. Will someone please keep the blog up to date with all this info….srdem, you’re right, this is going to take BO out for sure….Don’t know about the rest but, the betrayal is beyond belief.

    • Annie's Mom
      • Between Fast and Furious and Benghazi-gate, I am deeply disgusted with this current administration. There is zero forgiveness for them….zero.

        • Annie's Mom

What the heck are you doin’…NO politics!!!

    • srdem65

Enjoy the movie, turn off the ‘puter, and sleep sound. I’ll be watching the special on Bengazi and I’m sure we’ll all be disgusted, dismayed and outraged by the big, fat, rat-fink liars in the WhiteHouse.

Reading RushLimabaughs show today, he reminded me of something; somebody in the consulate issued an apology for the u-tube video well before anything happened there in Bengazi. Then the WhiteHouse hurried up and said it wasn’t approved by them.

Who told the people in the consulate in Bengazi about the video that no one in the U.S. had seen or heard about? Why did they issue an apology well before any action by the terrorists? Why did the Ambassador leave the compound well before any action was taken by the “terrorists”? How did we get video of the attack?

Kevin at “hillbuzz’ had a fantastic idea of what this ‘terrorist’ attack was supposed to be, and it sounded absurd when I first read it, but now I don’t know what to think.
His idea was that the Ambassador was supposed to be ‘kidnapped’ by ‘terrorists’ so that Obama could show how good he was at foreign affairs when he ‘negotiated’ his release.
Crazy, huh? But, the plan went south when the Ambassodor was suddenly protected by the three security guys who weren’t supposed to be there, stepped up, and they were all killed by mistake. Crazy, huh?
MrsClinton says that the dead Ambassador was taken to the hospital by ‘concerned’ Libyans but no one says what happened to the three security guys. Crazy, huh?
Was it all a setup to promote the reelection of MrObama? was it supposed to get public support to put restrictions on free speech, just as Fast &Furious was supposed to make us all want to ban guns.
      Crazy, Huh?

      • Annie's Mom

Crazy, ya. Catherine Herridge (sp) reported on a freighter that left Libya with “humanitarian” supplies for Syria. It seems that weapons systems were also on that boat. Coincidence that the “rebels” in Syria just shot down a government helicopter? Fast & Furious Middle East/African-style…This is all so crazy….

        • and Russia made a mjor stink over a plane forced to land by Turkish fighters containing arms for Assad.

        • and this…

“Intelligence regarding the Syrian plane carrying military equipment from Moscow to Damascus came from American sources, the Washington Post has reported.

Anonymous U.S. officials confirmed that it was American intelligence that had tipped off Turkey regarding the parts loaded on the plane.

The U.S. have been increasing “intelligence sharing and military consultations” since the Syria crisis erupted and Turkey became a prominent actor, the Washington Post’s report went on to say.

Turkey forced a plane en route to Damascus to land in Ankara on Oct. 10, confiscating what it said was military equipment on board. Russia said the plane was carrying spare radar parts, while Syria accused Turkey of piracy.”

  15. Waiting for 2012

This will be Obama’s “Watertgate” (along with Fast and Furious).

  16. Annie's Mom

Ok…here’s my take. Stevens was our ambassador, but he worked for the CIA. Early on, we read of how he entered the country in the hold of a cargo ship in the midst of a revolution. Ambassadors do not enter this way. Why was he in Bengazhi on 9/11? It had something to do with weapons. As I posted above, a freighter left Libya, bound for Turkey, with weapons for the Syrian rebels. And..
the last person that Stevens met with on 9/11…the Turkish embassabor.

    • srdem65

The special on FOX was stunning and frightening. They not only refused to add additional security but removed most of what was there already. No reason given. The firefight was a disaster, but ended in a strange manner. ?? Why would the terrorists leave when it was obvious that they outnumbered and out-gunned the Americans?
Video and the reports were that the Ambassador was alive when he was pulled from the ‘safe’ room and the Libyans were heard to praise Allah that he was still alive. Why would they be happy that he was still alive?

The special brought up more questions than it answered. There is a whole lot of stuff that they’re hiding.
And, you’re right; why was he meeting the Turkish guy in Libya? Doesn’t make sense.

      • why was he meeting the Turkish guy in Libya?
NATO member….Turkey is the hub of weapons and munitions going into Syria, for both sides of the conflict. Russia supplying Assad, Libya supplying the Sunnis (what do you want to bet the Saudis are financing the rebels?)

        • Annie's Mom
          • Well, that viewpoint is exactly what I’ve been thinking all along…Saudis, Qatar and add Bahrain to that list…Russia supplying Assad, and the Sunnis supplying the “rebels”. I don’t doubt Obama and the State Dept. are in this up to their eyeballs. Turkey is the natural jump off for weapons to Syria from both sides of the conflict. Let some through, prevent others. A huge cache of weapons in Benghazi would not surprise me at all.

          • If the public find out Obama is supplying Al Qaeda….OMG!!!

    • That flexibility thing BO promised Putin is not going well either…Obama is a nightmare and going to get us in a major war if we don’t get him out of office. What does “flexible” mean? Cratering to Putin.

“Russia has begun installing a new state-of-the-art anti-aircraft weapon system in its southern military region with an eye toward targeting Turkey in response to a NATO missile defense shield outpost that was recently established in East Anatolia, daily Hürriyet reported.

The installation will be completed by the end of this year, said Russian Col. Igor Gorbul, adding that the S-400 anti-aircraft missiles were capable of destroying all types of airplanes, as well as ultra-stratospheric and ballistic missiles.

Turkish-Russian tensions rose last week after Ankara forced down a Syrian passenger plane en route from Moscow to Damascus on suspicions that it was carrying weapons, but Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov moved to defuse tensions by saying the country’s bilateral relationship would not be damaged by the incident.”

  17. The Original

What I don’t understand is why in the world the Obama administration didn’t just admit that their intel was not accurate and there were some wrong decisions made about Benghazi. The cover-up is always worse than the actual deed.

9/11/01 happened because of lack of real intel and bad communication between the FBI and the CIA. The Bush administration did an investigation. No cover-up happened. The truth will always win. It didn’t hurt Bush. The truth would not have hurt Obama.

    • srdem65

They can’t, just can’t, admit they were wrong or made a mistake. It’s not in their DNA to so so.
We all know that Americans are forgiving of those who are genuinely sorry for whatever deed or non-deed happened. We understand that our elected officials are human, make mistakes and hope that forgiveness comes our way, too, if and when we make a mistake.

    • their intel was accurate…it was all a political move to show how “safe” Libya was and how “Obama had Al Qaeda on its heels” after he “killed bin Laden”. How would it look for the re-election if everyone knew Al Qaeda was surging in Africa and the ME?
Obama didn’t just lie and try to cover up the lies, he is directly responsible for the mess made in the ME and Africa. He made the decisions, he pushed for chaos, his policies of embracing the extremist Muslim Brotherhood (shiites) has upset the fragile balance of power in the ME. Basically his foreign policies have pushed Iraq and Egypt right into the arms of Iran’s mullahs. Now we have boots on the ground in Jordan, the Sunnis are being pressured by the demonstrating Shiite faction there. Hamas in Gaza now have anti-aircraft missiles from Iran. When you add it all up, Obama has started a major conflagration in both the ME and Africa. It will not end well and is spiraling out of control. Benghazi is just the start. Talk about an inept bunch at State and in the Administration…..leftists make a mess every single time…they think we can just play nice with those nutters, we can’t.

    • We also have people (military and intel) in Africa. Obama’s a troublemaking ideologue.

  18. Meanwhile in Africa…
“African leaders met in the capital of Mali on Friday to discuss plans for a military intervention to take back the north of the country, which was overrun by al-Qaeda-linked rebels six months ago.”…snip
Other neighbours such as Guinea argue that no time can be wasted in mediation efforts.

“How are we supposed to negotiate with terrorists?” Guinean President Alpha Conde said on state television on Wednesday. “We have no solution but to use force.”

The United States, which spent years working with Mali’s army against al Qaeda’s Sahara wing, has called for a more cautious approach, seeking elections to strengthen the political leadership in Bamako first, with a possible military intervention later if needed.”

  19. Lebanon now in an uproar…assassinations begin again…Syrian sympathizers run the government….
“Sectarian tensions have blighted Lebanon since the start of the Syrian conflict, where the battle between the Alawite-led regime and Sunni-dominated rebels triggered clashes across the border between Lebanese Sunnis and Alawites based in the north of the country.

But Friday’s bomb-blast brought the Syrian conflict to the heart of the Lebanese capital. It was followed by nationwide protests by Sunni Muslims, who burnt tires and blocked roads in Beirut and the city of Tripoli.

“We are trying to convince all the political parties in Lebanon to stay away from what’s going on in Syria,” Gemayel told FRANCE 24. “We have to defend ourselves from any kind of attack that goes on in Syria and we should not become involved in any way.”

Other opposition leaders have pointed the finger for Friday’s violence directly at Bashar al-Assad. Just hours after the explosion, and with rescue workers still sifting through the debris, former PM Saad Hariri, and son of murdered Rafik Hariri accused Assad and his regime of masterminding the attack.

“We accuse Bashar al-Assad of the assassination of Wissam al-Hassan, the guarantor of the security of the Lebanese,” Saad Hariri told a Lebanese television station.”

    • srdem65

Geez, the “religion of peace” people sure like to fight and kill each other.

      • Two major factions…Sunnis vs. Shiites….seems to me Obama is playing one deadly game. The whole Sunni vs. Shiite thing has been going on since the death of Mohammed. It’s like the Protestan/Catholic nastiness that went on for years but, on a more global level. Add in the destruction of the Caliphate, the break up into states, and we get to the modern era of Shiite states (and factions like Hezbollah and Hamas) against Sunni states (and factions like Al Qaeda and the Palestinians in Lebanon and the West Bank) and there you have it, a huge world wide mess. It will get even messier.

  20. MO in WI…

    • People in Wisconsin tend to exhibit antagonism toward Illinois, and I don’t think they enjoy hearing that what’s nice about Wisconsin is that it’s close to Chicago. There’s a word for it: FIB.

By the way, what is Michelle wearing? It looks like something designed by Dmitry of “Project Runway.”

      • Annie's Mom

MOTUS has a few pics. My favorite is “the lucky campaign butt”.

        • Waiting for 2012

I’m so sick of Moo’s rude finger-pointing and her hideous facial expressions. So vulgar.

    • Annie's Mom

Ugg…I could only take 2:35 of it…about how much I love my husband, but don’t tell him…that’s my leaverage. WTF?

  21. Carole

Wow!! Thanks Lynn II and all you Birdies. I try to read each day “our little nest’ to learn about the truth of what really happened in Libya.

The pink dress outfit that Moo wore at the debate looked like it was ready to explode at the seams. The fit was horrible and really made her booty look wide as the Atlantic Ocean. The dress upbove looks like some spider lost her web in order for someone to make Moo a dress.
Her speech was full of “Chicago Street Lingo.” Did she say, because you done well? Such poor grammar from a Harvard Law School graduate!!!!

  22. Carole

I am posting this for the Birdies to view and to make their own assessments of the truth behind the article.

Only an insane person would try to start WW III. It will bring complete destruction of the world. I just don’t think Hillary is that stupid.

However, it may be that she would try something like this. I really don’t trust either Clinton.

  23. srdem65

Tomorrow is when they trot out the propaganda masters for all the talk shows. Can’t wait to hear how they spin their stories. I like to listen to all the shows, have to tape some because they run over each other sometimes.
ChrisWallace on FOX has become very frustrated with the Obama people since Susan Rice bamboozeled everyone. Last week, he skewered MrAxelrod until he squeaked. snort.

    • Annie's Mom

We had a drone over Bengazhi during the attack…they watched everything? The battle lasted over 7 hours…why wasn’t a military counter-attack launched? Italy was only 2 hours away…

      • YEP, the state dept. sure did watch it all in real time. everyone knew exactly what was going on and don’t think Preezy didn’t hear about it from Intel and State. They all lied to us about everything.
Oh, and yes, if our gov armed the “rebels” in Libya and now Syria, they are arming Al Qaeda. That’s going to look great on everyone’s resume isn’t it?

My daughter tells me that after a conversation with some friends over a glass (or two) of wine they came to this conclusion; Mitt Romney is the guy they wanted to marry; Tall, handsome, a successful businessman, a devoted husband and father, a great sense of humor, smart but not egotistical, fun to be with sigh……………..

      • The Original

He is one good looking man . . . and Ann is just beautiful. What a gorgeous couple they make. He even looks good in flannel and jeans.

Oh dear Lord, I had the best laugh this morning reading about Fluke’s campaign stop in Reno at the Sak ‘N Save where 10 people showed up. My husband said they were all men or those who can’t afford the 9 bucks a month for birth control.

    • Waiting for 2012

“Sak ‘N Save”–there must be a good joke in there somewhere, but I don’t think we should go there on this blog! LOL

    • Are we supposed to read into the fact that she was at the “Sac ‘n Save?” Or is it mere coincidence?

    • Annie's Mom

I read this on just about every conservative blog today. My award for the best comment goes to none other than srdem65, from WH Dossier…”I drew a bigger crowd in a parking lot when I fell down and sprained my ankle (or the other way around). The good Samaritans were suppportive and helpful.” Free trip to the tea trolley for srdem!

      • Francine

That’s a good one srdem! Michelle Malkin said “I think at least half those people ended up just wanting to ask Fluke if she knew which aisle at Sak ‘N Save they could find condensed milk and stuffing mix.”

  26. The Original

So Gloria Allred is planning on unveiling her “October surprise” in effort to bury Romney with the women of US. He apparently 30 years ago as bishop of the Mormon church advised a woman to not have an abortion. She was having some health problems. Anyway, this is supposed to be a big surprise. Big problem . . . this was already covered by the media 20 years ago.

Allred needs to be shut up. I really hope someone slaps her down, but good.

    • Oh, no!!! He advised a woman not to kill her unborn child? How cruel! How heartless! How aniti-woman! His goose is cooked now./

Seriously?!?! Allred thinks this is earth-shattering and will change the outcome of the election? What is she smoking?

That woman is truly an embarrassment to women everywhere. Right up there with Sandra Fluke!

We have mail-in ballots in my state. I just completed my ballot. Now, all I need to do is drop it off at the courthouse.

    • Annie's Mom

I did absentee…it was mailed on Thursday. I’m unfortunately in a blue state, but I tried!

      • The Original

We only have mail-in ballots so we 100% absentee. It actually has cut back in voter fraud. We had just way too many ballots found in car trunks. At least, we can’t have too much ballot stuffing when only one ballot per voter and dead people get kicked off the voter ballots. We don’t have mail in registration which helps as well. We need to stop the fraud in our state.

And I live in a blue, blue state. But we are going to vote in our first GOP governor in decades this year. We are stoked!

I’m in New Mexico…that southwestern blotch of blue amongst a sea of red…but we did it last time…elected the first Hispanic female governor evah! For years we’ve laughed about boxes of ballots found every election…fraud here is the name of the game. We also issue driver’s licenses to illegals…still have a way to go…
