Petty and Pushy

Both great descriptions of Preezy and Mrs. Preezy. Preezy wants to bring as much discomfort and degradation to the American public as possible, ruining their vacations, while they plan another sojourn on Martha’s Vineyard.

No vacation for you …..

Another federal employee has come forward to claim the Obama administration resisted efforts to ease the impact of sequester.

A U.S. park ranger, who did not wish to be identified, told that supervisors within the National Park Service overruled plans to deal with the budget cuts in a way that would have had minimal impact on the public. Instead, the source said, park staff were told to cancel special events and cut “interpretation services” — the talks, tours and other education services provided by local park rangers.

“Apparently, they want the public to feel the pain,” the ranger said.

Of course they do,  Preezy wants to prove his street cred to this base. He wants the public to howl at anyone but him while he plays political gamesmanship and oneupmanship. How pathetic and petty of Preezy. Isn’t he the one who pushes “fair” in all things and a “balanced approach”?  Is anyone else beginning to see a pattern here?

In the meantime Flotus is looking forward to her own Utopian world….for other people and their kids.

Michelle Obama said she can “imagine” an America where businesses promote the “healthiest options” so children will be “begging and pleading” for fruits and vegetables, adding that “it is possible to create” such a world.

“I mean, just think for a minute what this country could look like,” Mrs. Obama said at the Partnership for a Healthier America Summit on Friday at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

“Imagine walking into any grocery store in America and finding the healthiest options clearly marked and centrally placed so that you know within seconds what’s good for your family when you walk in that store,” Mrs. Obama said. “Imagine opening up a menu in any restaurant and knowing exactly what items will give your family the most nutrition for your hard-earned dollar.”

“Imagine our kids begging and pleading, throwing tantrums to get you to buy more fruits, vegetables and whole grains,” Mrs. Obama said.

Well, imagine, if you will, the parents who would benefit most by all this will just cruise on by to the nearest junk food aisle, prepackaged aisle, and buy all that food anyway. In the real world they aren’t going to give up the goodies. All the harping on the subject is falling on deaf ears. Take a trip to any public school at lunchtime the waste is enormous.

Look out parents, MO is coming for you too!

Another win for “We the people”. 9th Circuit Appeals Court: 4th Amendment Applies At The Border; Also: Password Protected Files Shouldn’t Arouse Suspicion

In a somewhat surprising 9th Circuit ruling (en banc, or in front of the entire set of judges), the court ruled that the 4th Amendment does apply at the border, that agents do need to recognize there’s an expectation of privacy, and cannot do a search without reason.  Furthermore, they noted that merely encrypting a file with a password is not enough to trigger suspicion.  This is a huge ruling in favor of privacy rights.

DHS not so happy but, who really cares?

That’s all for today but, one never knows what will pop up tomorrow. For now we can exhale. Even the small victories bring on a feel good moment. This is one of them.

  1. The biggest gig of next year? Oh pleeeze!
…”singing for Michelle Obama during her 50th birthday party at the White House.”

    Read more:

    • We all know that her party will be bigger, better, and way more expensive than BO’s. She couldn’t possibly play second fiddle to him!

      • I can’t remember any other POTUS or FLOTUS making such a huge deal over themselves.

  2. Speaking of petty….McCain and Graham gave a bizarre performance defining the word for us

  3. Gabby Giffords must be so ashamed of him….guns for me but not for thee

“Mark E. Kelly, gun-control proponent and husband to former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, recently purchased an AR-15 (an “assault weapon,” he called it)—which he now says he intended as an illustration of the need for more stringent gun laws.”

  4. Can’t make this stuff up… “sequester whut? I don’t know about that, I just voted for him cause he’s black.” LOL 😀
Question; “What do you think about President Obama’s decision to pardon the sequester and send it to Portugal?”

  5. Union corruption….lots and lots of embezzling going on…

  6. When compared to Lady Gaga I guess she could be considered best dressed?!? LOL 😀

She is already regarded as one of the most stylish women in the world and now she has a new title to prove it.

Michelle Obama was praised for using fashion as a ‘force for good’ by the judges of the first Best Dressed List in The Sunday Times.

    Read more:

    • …”fashion can be a force for good used to inspire and entertain.” I can’t comment on the inspiration, but I think we all agree that she provides us with great entertainment. 🙂

  7. Waiting for 2012

“I mean, just think for a minute what this country could look like,”–I just hope it doesn’t look like YOU, byotch! 🙂

    • Yeah, just think….gives me the shivers.

  8. 10 secrets of effective liars…

#10: Bargain. Even when the jig is up, liars can often escape the worst by using a process psychologists call bargaining. “You want to soften, alleviate, or totally eliminate feelings of responsibility for the lie,” explains researcher Mary DePalma. “If you can decrease responsibility for blame and the anger that goes with it, you’re really looking at a much better outcome.”

    • BOOM!!! …..LOL 😀
      Capitalization counts…. 🙂

  9. gigglesnort….uh-huh,
“Contrary to reports claiming superstars Adele and Beyonce have been scheduled to perform at a birthday bash for Michelle Obama, the two will not be making musical appearances.

“This is 100 percent false,” a White House official told NBC News, adding, “It was fabricated by a British tabloid.”
