Petty and Pushy
Both great descriptions of Preezy and Mrs. Preezy. Preezy wants to bring as much discomfort and degradation to the American public as possible, ruining their vacations, while they plan another sojourn on Martha’s Vineyard.
Another federal employee has come forward to claim the Obama administration resisted efforts to ease the impact of sequester.
A U.S. park ranger, who did not wish to be identified, told FoxNews.com that supervisors within the National Park Service overruled plans to deal with the budget cuts in a way that would have had minimal impact on the public. Instead, the source said, park staff were told to cancel special events and cut “interpretation services” — the talks, tours and other education services provided by local park rangers.
“Apparently, they want the public to feel the pain,” the ranger said.
Of course they do, Preezy wants to prove his street cred to this base. He wants the public to howl at anyone but him while he plays political gamesmanship and oneupmanship. How pathetic and petty of Preezy. Isn’t he the one who pushes “fair” in all things and a “balanced approach”? Is anyone else beginning to see a pattern here?
Michelle Obama said she can “imagine” an America where businesses promote the “healthiest options” so children will be “begging and pleading” for fruits and vegetables, adding that “it is possible to create” such a world.
“I mean, just think for a minute what this country could look like,” Mrs. Obama said at the Partnership for a Healthier America Summit on Friday at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
“Imagine walking into any grocery store in America and finding the healthiest options clearly marked and centrally placed so that you know within seconds what’s good for your family when you walk in that store,” Mrs. Obama said. “Imagine opening up a menu in any restaurant and knowing exactly what items will give your family the most nutrition for your hard-earned dollar.”
“Imagine our kids begging and pleading, throwing tantrums to get you to buy more fruits, vegetables and whole grains,” Mrs. Obama said.
Well, imagine, if you will, the parents who would benefit most by all this will just cruise on by to the nearest junk food aisle, prepackaged aisle, and buy all that food anyway. In the real world they aren’t going to give up the goodies. All the harping on the subject is falling on deaf ears. Take a trip to any public school at lunchtime the waste is enormous.
Another win for “We the people”. 9th Circuit Appeals Court: 4th Amendment Applies At The Border; Also: Password Protected Files Shouldn’t Arouse Suspicion
In a somewhat surprising 9th Circuit ruling (en banc, or in front of the entire set of judges), the court ruled that the 4th Amendment does apply at the border, that agents do need to recognize there’s an expectation of privacy, and cannot do a search without reason. Furthermore, they noted that merely encrypting a file with a password is not enough to trigger suspicion. This is a huge ruling in favor of privacy rights.
DHS not so happy but, who really cares?
That’s all for today but, one never knows what will pop up tomorrow. For now we can exhale. Even the small victories bring on a feel good moment. This is one of them.
