Friday Bits and Pieces
I love pushback, especially when it proves we were right all along. Lying and cover ups haven’t worked out well for any incumbent since Nixon. If they would lie to the public about Benghazi, than what else would they lie about to the American public.
ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensively edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack.
White House emails reviewed by ABC News suggest the edits were made with extensive input from the State Department. The edits included requests from the State Department that references to the Al Qaeda-affiliated group Ansar al-Sharia be deleted as well references to CIA warnings about terrorist threats in Benghazi in the months preceding the attack. That would appear to directly contradict what White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said about the talking points in November.
Prince Harry made a visit to DC and the female staffers acted like kindergarteners. They had to be ordered back to their offices due to the teeny bopper squealing as he toured and spoke with McCain at an exhibit by Halo Trust, who provides aid in the removal of landmines all over the world.
As well as meeting Sen. John McCain at Capitol Hill, he was welcomed by a bevvy of grinning female staffers – who were promptly ushered back inside by police, according to their colleagues’ tweets.
‘If all the women on Capitol Hill were dust bunnies, #princeharry would be a Dyson Vacuum. Every woman is gone. Every. Single. One,’ Chris Mickey tweeted before the royal’s arrival.
When the women were asked to leave, sparking ‘grumpy faces’ according to further tweets, they swiftly found other balconies over which to peer at the prince.
The IRS made news on Friday…..targeted “conservative groups”. Yep, even the IRS is in the pocket of the Progressives. Does an apology suffice? No, it surely doesn’t, those involved won’t be fired, and they should be.
The Internal Revenue Service apologized Friday for what it acknowledged was “inappropriate” targeting of conservative political groups during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status.
IRS agents singled out dozens of organizations for additional reviews because they included the words “tea party” or “patriot” in their exemption applications, said Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups. In some cases, groups were asked for lists of donors, which violates IRS policy in most cases, she said.
Though IRS officials blamed “low-level” employees in the Cincinnati office, which is the central IRS office in charge of tax exemptions, French said the abuse was far more widespread.
More here…..just because it happened during the 2012 elections doesn’t make it “political bias”. OH PLEEEZE!
Just a joke? I doubt it…..from 2009
Barack Obama owes his presidency in no small part to the power of rhetoric. It’s
too bad he doesn’t appreciate the damage that loose talk can do to America’s tax
system, even as exploding federal deficits make revenues more important than
At his Arizona State University commencement speech last Wednesday, Mr. Obama
noted that ASU had refused to grant him an honorary degree, citing his lack of
experience, and the controversy this had caused. He then demonstrated ASU’s
point by remarking, “I really thought this was much ado about nothing, but I do
think we all learned an important lesson. I learned never again to pick another
team over the Sun Devils in my NCAA brackets. . . . President [Michael] Crowe
and the Board of Regents will soon learn all about being audited by the IRS.”
The Preezy’s actions and words speak far louder than most people imagine. He is the problem, not the solution. His constant blame game and contempt for anyone who thinks differently than he does is a signal to those working for the Federal government to “punish their enemies”. That would be anyone who disagrees with BO. Let’s face it, it’s not a “conspiracy theory” when powerful government agencies are out to get you. Just ask the government whistleblowers how they feel in the wake of Benghazi.
