Friday Bits and Pieces

I love pushback, especially when it proves we were right all along. Lying and cover ups haven’t worked out well for any incumbent since Nixon. If they would lie to the public about Benghazi, than what else would they lie about to the American public.

ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensively edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack.

White House emails reviewed by ABC News suggest the edits were made with extensive input from the State Department. The edits included requests from the State Department that references to the Al Qaeda-affiliated group Ansar al-Sharia be deleted as well references to CIA warnings about terrorist threats in Benghazi in the months preceding the attack. That would appear to directly contradict what White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said about the talking points in November.

Prince Harry made a visit to DC and the female staffers acted like kindergarteners. They had to be ordered back to their offices due to the teeny bopper squealing as he toured and spoke with McCain at an exhibit by Halo Trust, who provides aid in the removal of landmines all over the world.

As well as meeting Sen. John McCain at  Capitol Hill, he was welcomed by a  bevvy of grinning female staffers – who were  promptly ushered back  inside by police, according to their colleagues’  tweets.

‘If all the women on Capitol Hill were dust  bunnies, #princeharry would be a Dyson Vacuum. Every woman is gone. Every.  Single. One,’ Chris Mickey  tweeted before the royal’s arrival.

When the women were asked to leave, sparking  ‘grumpy faces’ according to  further tweets, they swiftly found other balconies  over which to peer at the prince.

MO gave a charity TEA Party (is she being audited?) for military families which Harry attended. MO and Harry

The IRS made news on Friday…..targeted “conservative groups”.  Yep, even the IRS is in the pocket of the Progressives. Does an apology suffice? No, it surely doesn’t, those involved won’t be fired, and they should be.

The Internal Revenue Service apologized Friday for what it acknowledged was “inappropriate” targeting of conservative political groups during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status.

IRS agents singled out dozens of organizations for additional reviews because they included the words “tea party” or “patriot” in their exemption applications, said Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups. In some cases, groups were asked for lists of donors, which violates IRS policy in most cases, she said.

and this…

Though IRS officials blamed “low-level” employees in the Cincinnati office, which is the central IRS office in charge of tax exemptions, French said the abuse was far more widespread.

More here…..just because it happened during the 2012 elections doesn’t make it “political bias”.  OH PLEEEZE!

Just a joke? I doubt it…..from 2009

Barack Obama owes his presidency in no small part to the power of rhetoric. It’s
too bad he doesn’t appreciate the damage that loose talk can do to America’s tax
system, even as exploding federal deficits make revenues more important than

At his Arizona State University commencement speech last Wednesday, Mr. Obama
noted that ASU had refused to grant him an honorary degree, citing his lack of
experience, and the controversy this had caused. He then demonstrated ASU’s
point by remarking, “I really thought this was much ado about nothing, but I do
think we all learned an important lesson. I learned never again to pick another
team over the Sun Devils in my NCAA brackets. . . . President [Michael] Crowe
and the Board of Regents will soon learn all about being audited by the IRS.”

The Preezy’s actions and words speak far louder than most people imagine. He is the problem, not the solution. His constant blame game and contempt for anyone who thinks differently than he does is a signal to those working for the Federal government to “punish their enemies”. That would be anyone who disagrees with BO. Let’s face it, it’s not a “conspiracy theory” when powerful government agencies are out to get you. Just ask the government whistleblowers how they feel in the wake of Benghazi.

open thread…..

  1. This past week was so busy…sorry for the delay in posting this. So much going on in the first few weeks of warm weather. I was floored by some of the revelations coming out in the news this week. It was beyond crazy.

  2. Benghazi and Boston are symptoms of the same disorder. They are twin studies in evasion.
Refusing to face the truth will not make this go away. What a bunch of asshats we have in this administration.

  3. Media mocked conservative complaints about the IRS……too clean?
[Kimberley Strassel of the Wall Street Journal reported during last year’s election that President Barack Obama had an “enemies list,” and those that found themselves on it could find themselves a target of the IRS.

The media discounted such charges and said the Obama administration was too clean to engage in such tactics.]

  4. Benghazi…a “Question of character”….

[But the embassy security chief, Eric Nordstrom, had the best answer to that: It matters because “the truth matters” — not least to the Libyan president, who ever since has held the U.S. government in utter contempt. Truth matters, and character matters. For the American people to accept the Obama-Clinton lie is to be complicit in it.]

  5. That is nice and all for Prince Harry to be visiting the White House. But for what purpose??? To attend a Mother’s Day tea with mooch?? And what the heck is up with her hideous hair, and those ridiculous bangs hanging in her eyes? PH should be honoring the mothers in England.

  6. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper……
[Attkisson’s dogged pursuit of the truth has not only pitted her against a media desperate to protect Obama, but also, apparently, against her bosses at CBS News, one of whom is the brother of a top Obama official.

Moreover, CBS News president David Rhoades is not only the brother of President Obama’s national security advisor, Ben Rhoades, but ABC News reports that Ben Rhoades was very much involved in the editing of the now-infamous CIA talking points]

  7. tilting the playing field in favor of illegal aliens….

    • Annie's Mom

The more I find out what is in the 800+ page bill, the more I’m against it. An amendment for LGBT rights, a carve-out for ski/snowboard instructors, specific pay for farm workers. I still can’t figure out why the heck Rubio stuck his neck out for this disaster….I didn’t think he is that naïve.

      • …..and will turn out to be another debacle costing trillions to the taxpayers…..WTH is Rubio thinking?

  8. Uh huh…part of Friday news dump….IRS looking more egregious then I first thought….

  9. What a clown….

    • I loved watching this little weasel squirm yesterday. The press found part of its morality

  10. “”And goodness knows, we need more of that,” she said. “Because we know what happens when we only talk to people who think like we do. We just get stuck in our ways.”

Well, I suggest you have the same ‘talk’ with hubby….he’s not doing so well in that outreach.

    • don’t forget to take names…they may need to be audited….

  11. A matter of “trust”….and we don’t trust BO

[But it really boils down to a matter of trust. Obama just doesn’t engender it. Even if he rolled up his sleeves, worked the phones and reached across the aisle, he’d have a hard time winning people over. He’s simply not seen as an honest broker.

Public opinion polls show he’s also having a hard time convincing the American people he’s sincere.]
