“Nobody looks good wearing brown lipstick”

….particularly the media hacks who spend their time, doing their best, to make you think we’re in the next Golden Age of Camelot. Juan Williams got my attention while claiming Holder should be the one “investigating” Holder. He like so many others in the LSM is so invested in BO he can’t see the forest for the trees. The corruption in the current administration is breathtakingly obvious along with BO’s cohorts in the Senate. “The first report of Democrat inspired intimidation by federal agencies involved a letter from Schumer, signed by seven of his colleagues.  Then came knowledge of the letter from Sheila Jackson Lee targeting True The Vote which resulted in harassment by not only the IRS but ATF and The FBI.  Then there were Claire McCaskill’s comments.  Now Durbins’.  There will undoubtedly be more, possibly, a lot more.
Am I the only one who has spotted a trend here?  Federal agencies engaged in partisan and likely criminal conduct at the behest of elected Democrats.  This is where things appear to be heading.
The genesis for these anti-democratic intrusions, per the piece above, would appear to be the Citizen’s United decision by The Supreme Court which was condemned by Obama at a State of The Union Address and repeatedly thereafter. His lackeys clearly got the message and ran with it.”

“Citizens United really unleashed hundreds, if not thousands of organizations, seeking tax-exempt status to play in political campaigns,” Durbin complained. When asked why he didn’t go after liberal as well as conservative organizations, Durbin said that an IRS investigation into Crossroads GPS would have served as a warning shot for other organizations.

Of course, this was all done in the name of fairness and to identify the “enemies” of the administration.   We can’t have other political parties or their PACs gumming up the Progressive agenda by having donors who support them.

The LSM is now in a snit, even though they’ve been wearing the brown lipstick since 2008. They’re just “shocked” over the idea they would come under the microscope of the DOJ. but, when one looks back at the track record, Fast and Furious and Pigford, refusal to prosecute voter intimidation tactics, it’s not hard to believe the DOJ and Holder would be involved in investigating journalists under the cloak of criminal conspiracy. It’s just the way they roll under the auspices of the BO administration. Now Holder wants to have an “off the record” meeting with bureau chiefs….give me a break….which no one will see or hear as he gladhands and lies even more.

Free idea for the media: Why not insist on a televised Holder press conference instead? This whole “remorse” shtick is pure theatrical garbage designed to save his job. If he’s determined to perform, make him perform in front of an audience. Let’s see what sort of crocodile tears he can muster when the camera’s on.

Joe Heller, Green Bay (Wis.) Press-Gazette

It’s all good when Dem donors “max out” but, it’s evil if any other party does. Just ask MO.

All this is proof positive why we were right about Obama all along. Wearing blinders won’t change what BO and his thugs are doing, most of it unconstitutional.

  1. Lois Lerner is no stranger to corrupt practices….

“In 1996 Lois Lerner, the IRS official at the center of the harassment of Tea Party groups seeking tax exempt status, was head of the enforcement division of the Federal Elections Commission(FEC). That year Al Salvi was the Republican nominee for the US Senate from Illinois, his Democrat opponent was then congressman Dick Durbin.

During the final weeks of the campaign Salvi loaned himself over a million dollars to buy ads in the Chicago media market. This in turn prompted the Democrat party’s campaign arms to file complaints with the FEC and in kind the FEC, specifically Lois Lerner, filed charges against Al Salvi.

That is when Mr. Salvi contends Lois Lerner made him the following offer, “Promise me you will never run for office again, and we’ll drop this case.”

Al Salvi refused that offer and would fight the FEC complaint against him for several more years before a Judge tossed out the complaint.”

  2. Convoluted spin….
“Q Because the FBI affidavit identified Rosen as a potential “aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator.” That sounds very prosecutorial.

MR. CARNEY: Correct. And I would point you to published reports that say no prosecutorial action was taken and none is contemplated, again, based on my reading of reports. So it seems self-evident that that charge is inaccurate.”

  3. Speaking of brown lipstick….asking the media to attend a secret meeting with the US AG does seem to pose an ethical conflict of interest……

““POTUS asked AG to review how leak investigations are done but some in the media refuse to meet with him,” Democratic Party Communications Director Brad Woodhouse tweeted. “Kind of forfeits your right [to] gripe.”

“[My point is the AG wants to meet as part of his review to fix things,” he added. “How is not attending helping him do so?””

Imagine what a great movie this will make in a few years! The O regime seems to harken back to a pre-French Revolution court, or the last Tsar’s regime.. Everyone is corrupt, and no one is responsible.. Absolutely unbelievable….
The problem I see is that the next regime will still have a lot of these crooks in their jobs-for-life. We absolutely need a ‘new broom.’
Have been pondering on this question, ‘what do Progressives want ?’ I don’t think even they can answer that.

    • It doesn’t matter what political party the next Preezy is from….Bo has set so many precedents abusing the system of checks and balances and, gotten away with it, they may just expand on the creepy stuff he’s done….He’s brought ‘unethical’ to a fine art in his governing.
Progs want ‘socialism’ where government is the answer to everything.

  5. Immigration reform not being written in the interest of our country….hypocrites in the Senate just want the votes…

“You have hit on the real reason for this hurry-up legislation. Both parties think they will gain votes. I am more concerned about the country’s future than I am the president’s “legacy” or Republican electoral prospects. Making votes the primary motivation behind this bill, instead of its effect on the country, is a form of extortion. Even Hispanics are interested in more things than immigration, such as jobs.”

  6. Holder not getting the love……..of course the lapdogs at Politico will be attending.

“Like the New York Times and the Associated Press, CNN will decline the invitation for an off-the-record meeting. A CNN spokesperson says if the meeting with the attorney general is on the record, CNN would plan to participate.

The Huffington Post’s Washington bureau chief, Ryan Grim, also said he will not attend unless the meeting is on the record. “A conversation specifically about the freedom of the press should be an open one. We have a responsibility not to betray that,” Grim told CNN.

But Politico posted an item on its website saying editor-in-chief John Harris plans to attend one of the meetings with Holder.”

  7. I am so disappointed in the WSJ….attending Holder’s ‘off the record’ BS.

    • Annie's Mom

I can’t figure that one either. I just wish one of the attendees would spill the beans afterward. I know…it’ll never happen, but I can wish!

    • Sometimes, it all gets too much- so much going on that people just want to hide under a blanket, which is what these criminals want.
All the mischief piling on at once, and part of me still thinks that some of it is a distraction, that there is something even worse being hidden.

      • That’s Alinsky for ya…

  8. Ken Sears

It would really be nice for one of these reporters to come out with what was said “off the record”. I mean, do they really OWE Holder confidentiality at this point?

  9. Meanwhile….what peaceful “foreign” students?
Locks cut at Boston area reservoir…not to worry, just a little “vandalism” by some chemical engineers…just out for a midnight stroll….just out watching the submarine races.
