You betcha! I didn’t bother to read the comments…knew it would turn into what a warmonger he was, how many died for his buddies in the oil business, blah, blah, blah. One thing I know in my heart, GWB loved his troops and wasn’t afraid to show it. Great pics!!

  2. I have unabashedly stolen this article from DeniseVB over at Stealth Magnolia….missed it when it was first posted and now am regifting it to you…nice bit of trivia on ‘Our House’…. 🙂

  3. Annie's Mom

I’ve spent some of my day today researching how to get a headstone from the VA for a military veteran. I’m compiling my copies of documents…minus the normally required form, the DD-214, as they weren’t in existence back then. My veteran lived to the ripe old age of 92…tho it was heralded as 99. His family never wrote stuff down and the days were celebrated, but the number of years just wasn’t important. I’m hoping that I find a nice person at the VA to help with this request…a headstone for my 2nd great granduncle who served in the Civil War. He was buried in 1930 and the only marker is still a temporary one. Wish me luck!!

    • Good luck! You’ll pull it off
