Lynn's Little Nest

A fine site

“My desire to be well-informed is currently at odds with my desire to remain sane”

Pretty much says it all doesn’t it?

Most of us have heard about the ‘new edict’ from the White House on not implementing the employer part of Obamacare until 2015. Yes, convenient isn’t it. But, by doing this BO has set a precedent. From Clarice’s Pieces at American Thinker;

Rather than impeaching Mr. Obama for refraining from enforcing ObamaCare, we  should confer upon him a medal for admitting that his law is improvident,  unenforceable, and, ineluctably, stupid and injurious to the people.

That  medal should be conferred visibly, loudly, and repeatedly in public discourse  from now through the elections of 2014 and probably all the way to 2016, for it  is at the polls that the best, surest, and most resounding remedy will be  found.

I call attention to the reference to an observation made by Randy  Barnett that appears at the very end of Adler’s post on VC [ed: Volokh  Conspiracy]. Mr. Obama himself sets the precedent for a decision by a future  President not to enforce ObamaCare in gross.

“We are a country of laws”…except when BO says we aren’t, picking and choosing which ones to enforce. This is exactly why he loses credibility every single time on every single thing he calls his “legacy”.  Immigration reform is dead and Obamacare implementation killed it

As bad as that blow to the rule of law was, the Department of Health and Human Services followed it up with 600 pages of regulations Friday, one of which also delayed a requirement that states verify the eligibility information submitted by applicants. Not only is this also not authorized in the statute, but, as National Review’s Yuval Levin notes, it is also an open invitation for those wanting health care subsidies to defraud taxpayers.

“They will simply ignore the parts they don’t like.” “They have shown no respect for traditional Constitutional separation of powers,” Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tenn., told National Review‘s John Fund about the impact of the Obamacare delays on the immigration debate, “and that makes it difficult to pass laws where the fear is that they will simply ignore the parts they don’t like.”

If you want to see MO “Raise the Roof”, there is a “cringe inducing” video over at Weasel Zippers. Warning! the gold dress with the big bow at the waist line is a bit over the top. MO looks like a Christmas package in that get up…MO gold 2   Uh-huh….

  1. Annie's Mom

Oh dear…I’ve just nuked the rest of the afternoon by watching that. Dang it, Lynn, you post articles like this just to provoke us into action, don’t you? Well, I, for one, fell for it and make my fingers type a response. There! I’ m the first poster. 🙂

    • {{{{snicker}}}} 😀

  2. Carole

Oh my, Mooch has now joined the Walmart video group of ” Red Neck Dressing.” The dress looks like a satin cocktail dress that you would wear at a simi formal affair. Well why not, she wears a cotton sun dress at formal events and tops that are baclwards or upside down. Loved the comments!!!

    • I think it’s her way of trying to look like a perky young thing…. lol 😀

  3. conner43

She must think her armpits are gorgeous.

    • EEEEEWWWWW!!!!

  4. _resident Snoop at it again….using faux science to make life miserable for Federal workers.

“In an initiative aimed at rooting out future leakers and other security violators, President Barack Obama has ordered federal employees to report suspicious actions of their colleagues based on behavioral profiling techniques that are not scientifically proven to work, according to experts and government documents.

The techniques are a key pillar of the Insider Threat Program, an unprecedented government-wide crackdown under which millions of federal bureaucrats and contractors must watch out for “high-risk persons or behaviors” among co-workers. Those who fail to report them could face penalties, including criminal charges.”

    • He’s going to spoil it for himself. Federal jobs are forever, president’s jobs, however, are not. His sure fire voters in government employment may just vote another party in, just to get some respite for the intrusions and bossiness.

      • May be some of those 65,000 Fed workers who got their pink slips are having second thoughts too…..

  5. Palestinian Terror Group Claims Responsibility for Arizona Wildfires…..of course, locking down that southern border is not a big deal to BO and his cohorts….

  6. 16 consecutive days of rain…..yesterday was a biggie, 3″ in 45 minutes…..most of it went south of us but, more rain forecast….humidity level at 90%….one of our clients called, she’s painting the bath in one of her rentals…so humid the old paint is causing the new paint to bubble from the humidity ….we’re wet inside and out! Our dehumidifier is running overtime…it’s fair to say we would all like the rain to stop now.

  7. Ol’ Barry looks thrilled to kiss her….NOT!

  8. Carole

Merry Barry would rather it be Reggie

  9. Ha! I was thinking the same thing Carole. Makes me throw up a little in my mouth whenever they have a PDA!

  10. DLeigh

Love the title of this post…it exactly explains how I feel. Love that Janet is leaving hs, made me smile…drats that she is heading to CA to lead a college of the uninformed.

    • I think it sums it up for a lot of us. Maybe Lynn should consider renaming the blog.:)
