Preezy called John Boehner this past week to let him know he wasn’t speaking to him, not about the debt ceiling or about the “Adorable Care Act“. I could understand that if BO was 6 or 7 and not the supposed ‘leader of the free world’. How the hell does he ‘seek negotiations’ with Putin, Assad and Rouhani but, not negotiate with half of the US? (well, more than half now)Adorable Care Act

“I don’t mind them disagreeing with me,” he said in a speech to automotive  workers in Kansas City, Mo. Friday. “If they don’t like the  Affordable Care  Act, they would rather have people not have health  insurance, you know, I am  happy to have that debate with them. But you  don’t have to threaten to blow the  whole thing up just because you don’t get your way.”

Actually it’s BO and Reid threatening to “blow the whole thing up”.  Reid: ‘I’m Not Talking to Boehner’

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told reporters on Thursday that he hasn’t had a single conversation with House Speaker Boehner concerning the continuing resolution or debt ceiling debate. He also said he has no plans to talk with Boehner or any Republicans about the issues and insists they should just acquiesce to Obama and the Democrats demands.

Alphabet Unions are having a hissy fit but, after that not-for-public-view meeting between the big letter people and BO, we know the ‘fix’ is in before the 40% tax turns on.

Members of the Chicago-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance.

The reason for the cuts? The employer says it is because of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This is ironic since SEIU is a major supporter of the law.  [snip]

Yep, the ‘fix’ is definitely in

At the AFL-CIO’s convention in Los Angeles earlier this month, Loretta Johnson, secretary-treasurer of the American Federation of Teachers, said it was already happening in her union.

“We are seeing employer after employer cut hours so as to avoid the 30-hour definition of a full-time job,” Johnson said. The AFL-CIO passed a resolution demanding either Congress or Obama fix the law to stop it from hurting union members.

D-words hate the medical device tax. Even Reid calls it ‘stupid’; Harry Reid: Obamacare medical device tax is ‘stupid,’ Democrats oppose it, and I’ll fight to save it

So Reid and his fellow Democrats will kill any effort to kill a tax that they oppose if it comes up in the continuing resolution. They will resist repealing the tax even if a standoff would lead to a government shutdown. Reid went on to hint at possible future cooperation — “If they want to look at the device tax, let’s do it in the context of a separate piece of legislation,” he said. But Obamacare has been law for more than three and a half years, and the tax is still there. No matter how “stupid” it is, the Senate Majority leader is determined to protect it.

So, the Kongressional Kiddies and Preezy prefer to become the thugs and bullies they rail against, accuse everyone who opposes them of being the thugs and, prefer to negotiate with terrorist supporting states than an opposing political party. BO and Reid seem to have their own pre-existing condition, enlarged egos.

  1. We’re bailing out Detroit!! Isn’t that great? 320 million to start! YAY!!! /

“Obama wants to give Detroit’s dwindling population–now 700,000 down from 1.8 million–taxpayer dollars to fund neighborhood redevelopment, bus repairs, a streetcar project, police officers, firefighters, and youth anti-violence programs.

Obama’s Detroit aid plan places the president in an awkward political position. In 2012, Obama boasted that his leadership prevented Detroit from going bankrupt.”

All that bragging about how BO ‘saved’ Detroit with the auto bailout makes him look like the cheesy pol he is. Like the Detroit councilwoman said “You owe us, we voted for you.”. See how that works?

  2. this sickens me….tell me again how OUR people can’t tour the WH….

    • …her personal housekeeper? Really? Just what does a personal housekeeper do? I know we’re not talking about dust bunnies under the bed…I’m sure the “regular” housekeepers take care of those. I’m serious tho…what does she do…pick up MOO’s clothes off the floor?

      • Hope she pays for all the “personal” people from her “personal” purse …. maybe MO’s “personal housekeeper” is a food taster like BO has? MO would never be left out of that one! LOL 😀

        • My immediate reaction was, pay for it herself…who you kidding? I bet we’d be horrified if we saw real numbers of what these people are costing us.

          • well, if the BSD (shutdown) happens only essential personnel will be required at the residence, about 20 people. That leaves 70 that are non-essential. So, my question is why are those people hired in the first place?

  3. If Obama had a son……where are the Trayvon anti-racists now?

  4. The shame of the UN and the rest of the world….
“”Mr. Obama has managed to avoid scrutiny about his most tragic foreign-policy failure: standing by as Sudan’s Islamic regime perpetrates a slaughter against its own citizens who belong to non-Arab ethnic groups.”

Bashir has killed tens of thousands of his own people, the pair note, adding that Obama, meanwhile, cites “humanitarian reasons to intervene in a crisis” only “when politically convenient.”

“He entered Libya ‘to prevent a bloodbath,’ despite no mass slaughter of civilians in that country. This disingenuous explanation only damaged his credibility as a humanitarian, though it did placate the international human-rights community,” Farrow and Goldhagen say, adding that Sudan merits at least the same treatment.”

  5. Dems don’t want to admit they hate Obamacare too……but they do! read it all

  6. I tell you I just can’t stand any of these idiots in DC. I swear they get dumber and dumber each day. Bailing out Detroit is such a mistake. No offense to the people who live there, but you reap what you sow. If you elect corrupt politicians and allow violence to occur w/o having a strong police presence, and if you let things get so bad, you deserve to become a ghost town. The rest of us should not have to pay for your poor choices. As far as that stupid councilwoman who said that zero owed them b/c they voted for them, I say BS! They don’t want to do anything to help themselves. What will happen is that the gov (we) give Detroit millions and billions but nothing will change. Only corrupt bureaucrats will get rich, and all these ‘social programs’ designed to help people will just make them slaves to the government, and the situation will still be the same. There will still be horrific crime, the schools will still suck b/c they will not do anything to improve them (oh, maybe some paint and spruce up the grounds), but until the people themselves decide to take back their city and do something to help themselves, everything will remain the same. Sounds like there aren’t many smart people left in Detroit anyway, as most probably got out before things got so bad. Sorry for being cynical, but that is how I feel. Why not incentivize companies and corporations to HIRE AMERICANS and give people jobs so they can help themselves? They can go much farther and have a much better quality of life than any gov handout will ever provide.

    • …excellent rant. 🙂

    • when council hands out 2 billion in “bonuses” to government workers, what else can they expect? Their deficit is that big.

  7. And besides, where are we getting the money to bail out Detroit??? If we don’t have money to give our military hot meals and have to cancel WH tours to the public, we sure as hell don’t have the $$ to give to a bunch of lazy ass people in Detroit who destroyed their own city. We must not go into further debt to bail out Detroit or any other city. We have better ways to spend tax payer dollars and should not be rewarding people/places that brought this on themselves. Sorry, I guess I am feeling especially bitchy today with all the crap going on in DC.

    • we’ve gone past disgust….bitchy is perfect at this point!

  8. Carole

    Ditto Kathy!!!

  9. BO is in a panic…so are the Dems. Their rhetoric is getting more strident by the day. Calling people who disagree with any policy or bill they want passed “terrorists”, “anarchists”, “teabaggers”, “wacko birds”, ….and on and on…Are these really people we can be proud of as legislators?
    Let. It. Burn.

“House Republicans forced through a short-term government funding bill that delays Obamacare and permanently repeals a tax on medical devices, setting up their most dramatic face-off ever with President Barack Obama and Senate Democrats”

  10. Even worse for Obama, Reuters used a D+10 sample, only 30% of those surveyed were Republicans.

39% approval rating for Big Bad BO.

  11. Waiting for 2012

Ain’t Bammycare GREAT, boys and girls?!??! We got an email from our local government employer regarding that Adorable Care Act. To be fair, I’m very fortunate to be working for a local government (run by Republicans) that actually managed to have a surplus, due to cutting wasteful spending; they even managed to scrape together a small pay raise for us last year. We have very good benefits, too. But even we are feeling the pinch…our premiums haven’t gone up much, but the out-of-pocket expenses we are responsible for have–very much, in fact. One facet of it used to be a maximum of $0-$3000; now, it’s $3000-$7000. With some plans, it’s $10,000-$60,000. We also got a letter from Blue Cross: “You will be subject to higher out-of-pocket-costs….and you may be balance-billed by the provider.” Our premiums actually doubled 2 years ago.; we were told it was due to Bammycare. They also kept bugging us to get those biometric screenings. It seems that very few in the County fell for that! We got email after email begging us to do so. And the guy who is in charge of all of this must be getting a barrage of negative emails both about the screenings and the rise in cost with the out-of-pocket things. He’s claiming that, “No! This is not an increase in costs! You’re actually SAVING money!”. Huh????With his keen sense of reasoning, I’m thinking that he’s under-employed for this job–he should be working in D.C. 🙂

Hubby is also worried that his company will drop coverage. (Is that legal under Bammycare, though?)

    So much for “Affordable”.

Has anyone else heard from their workplace about this?

    • ‘Hubby is also worried that his company will drop coverage. (Is that legal under Bammycare, though?)’

Yes, then he goes on to the exchanges or on to your insurance.

  12. O/T….. Pope John XXIII is being canonized (non-Catholic but, entitled to love this man just the same). He is “most righteous among the nations”.

“Two of the most-loved leaders of the Catholic Church, Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II, will be raised to sainthood together in a joint canonization ceremony — the first such ceremony in the church’s history”

    • One thing that stands out (among many things) is during the funeral of Pope John Paul II was how much he was loved and respected throughout the world. There were representatives from all major religions, as well as dignitaries from all over the world, and for a brief few hours, I noticed that there was no violence going on. It was as if there was something divinely special about his funeral. And while I don’t care for CNN, I thought that Anderson Cooper did a fine job of covering the occasion.

      • I didn’t watch, now I’m sorry I didn’t. 😦
