Preezy called John Boehner this past week to let him know he wasn’t speaking to him, not about the debt ceiling or about the “Adorable Care Act“. I could understand that if BO was 6 or 7 and not the supposed ‘leader of the free world’. How the hell does he ‘seek negotiations’ with Putin, Assad and Rouhani but, not negotiate with half of the US? (well, more than half now)
“I don’t mind them disagreeing with me,” he said in a speech to automotive workers in Kansas City, Mo. Friday. “If they don’t like the Affordable Care Act, they would rather have people not have health insurance, you know, I am happy to have that debate with them. But you don’t have to threaten to blow the whole thing up just because you don’t get your way.”
Actually it’s BO and Reid threatening to “blow the whole thing up”. Reid: ‘I’m Not Talking to Boehner’
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told reporters on Thursday that he hasn’t had a single conversation with House Speaker Boehner concerning the continuing resolution or debt ceiling debate. He also said he has no plans to talk with Boehner or any Republicans about the issues and insists they should just acquiesce to Obama and the Democrats demands.
Alphabet Unions are having a hissy fit but, after that not-for-public-view meeting between the big letter people and BO, we know the ‘fix’ is in before the 40% tax turns on.
Members of the Chicago-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance.
The reason for the cuts? The employer says it is because of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This is ironic since SEIU is a major supporter of the law. [snip]
Yep, the ‘fix’ is definitely in
At the AFL-CIO’s convention in Los Angeles earlier this month, Loretta Johnson, secretary-treasurer of the American Federation of Teachers, said it was already happening in her union.
“We are seeing employer after employer cut hours so as to avoid the 30-hour definition of a full-time job,” Johnson said. The AFL-CIO passed a resolution demanding either Congress or Obama fix the law to stop it from hurting union members.
D-words hate the medical device tax. Even Reid calls it ‘stupid’; Harry Reid: Obamacare medical device tax is ‘stupid,’ Democrats oppose it, and I’ll fight to save it
So Reid and his fellow Democrats will kill any effort to kill a tax that they oppose if it comes up in the continuing resolution. They will resist repealing the tax even if a standoff would lead to a government shutdown. Reid went on to hint at possible future cooperation — “If they want to look at the device tax, let’s do it in the context of a separate piece of legislation,” he said. But Obamacare has been law for more than three and a half years, and the tax is still there. No matter how “stupid” it is, the Senate Majority leader is determined to protect it.
So, the Kongressional Kiddies and Preezy prefer to become the thugs and bullies they rail against, accuse everyone who opposes them of being the thugs and, prefer to negotiate with terrorist supporting states than an opposing political party. BO and Reid seem to have their own pre-existing condition, enlarged egos.
