Awesome Sauce!

No matter how many times BO tries to change the subject, he loses. Dems up for re-election are tripping all over themselves to run from him and Obamacare. Reid had to table the minimum wage bill, not enough backers from either party to support the latest Obama stupidity. As a contractor, who has in the past worked under the auspices of the Federal government, there are regs that detail how much workers are to receive as payment. Under our contract laborers were required to receive $10.84 per hour. Obama’s “pen and phone” executive order is more distraction from the awful, unaffordable Obamacare. Dems are even threatening those patients who are speaking out over the burdens they now face.

But, there is some good news we can feel definitely cheered by like this one via Weasel Zippers. Remember the run on Walmart by people using EBT cards?  Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of people….

Louisiana’s social services department said Monday it has stripped food stamps from six people who deliberately overspent their monthly benefits when the electronic service was down in October and was working to disqualify another 25 people.

Details of possible fraud also have been shared with local law enforcement, for district attorneys to decide if they want to prosecute people for knowingly breaching the limits on their monthly food stamp benefits.

The Department of Children and Family Services said it continues to work through the administrative hearing process, targeting 500 people out of 12,000 transactions that overspent available food stamp benefits four months ago during the system crash.

Lots of people think if you aren’t pro-amnesty you must be racist and hate Hispanics. Nothing could be further from the truth even though hate mongers want you to believe it’s all about them. via Big Government;

Two Korean citizens in the United States illegally were sentenced last week in Baltimore to prison for obtaining over $1,400,000 in payments for food sales that never occurred as part of a food stamp and wire fraud scheme.

U.S. District Judge George L. Russell III gave Hyung Cho 38 months in prison and three years of supervised release and his mother, Dae Cho, 18 months in prison. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Maryland, “Both defendants resided in Catonsville, Maryland and are Korean citizens who are illegally present in the United States.”

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says that the Chos “agreed not to object to any proceedings that may be brought to remove them from the United States upon completion of their sentence.”

Break the laws once by entering illegally, break more laws because, wth, they got away with it the first time.

The United States has expelled three Venezuelan diplomats in response to similar action against three U.S. consular officials in Caracas.

Venezuelan envoys First Secretary Ignacio Luis Cajal Avalos, First Secretary Victor Manuel Pisani Azpurua and Second Secretary Marcos Jose Garcia Figueredo, were given 48 hours to leave the U.S., State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Tuesday.

Two members of Congress subpoenaed in nursing homes’ fight with SEIU

The subpoenas, obtained by the Washington Examiner, require them to be deposed at a Washington law firm, Blumenthal on March 11 and DeLauro on March 13. Both will be required to bring with them a broad range of documents, including any in their possession related to the SEIU.

DeLauro and Blumenthal have been publicly supportive of unionized health care workers in their state, and their visits to the picket line for striking nursing home employees presented the hook to connect them to the case, as the plaintiffs hope to examine the way the SEIU pursued its campaign behind the scenes.

House Oversight Comm. tells Lois Lerner to get her IRS back to the Hill on March 5th. via Daily Mail

a letter to Lerner’s lawyer on Tuesday, Issa set March 5 as the date she will have to answer probing questions about her role in the scandal – and possibly finger higher-ups who directed her to play political favorites and hamstring conservative applicants.

Lerner, who retired in September with full benefits after a brief period of administration leave, is ‘is uniquely positioned to provide testimony that will help the committee better understand how and why the IRS targeted these groups,’ Issa wrote.

‘The subpoena you accepted on Ms. Lerner’s behalf remains in effect,’ he told attorney William W. Taylor III.

‘In light of this fact, and because the committee explicitly rejected her Fifth Amendment privilege claim, I expect her to provide answers when the hearing reconvenes.’

…or have her IRS jailed if she doesn’t.

‘We love cookies but they’re not sufficient, we need to eat veggies to make our bodies efficient’: Michelle performs cringeworthy rap as she announces new rules to ban junk food marketing in schools [snip]

Aware of the backlash, the USDA is allowing schools to make some of their own decisions on what constitutes marketing and asking for comments on some options. For example, the proposal asks for comments on initiatives like Pizza Hut’s ‘Book It’ program, which coordinates with schools to reward kids with pizza for reading.

See that…..they all know how much their programs are despised.
