March Madness

What is he talking about? That’s how I felt listening to BO go on and on in his Brussels speech.  While he did his Obama best, it fell flat. Hilarious: Only one person slow claps after Obama speaks in Netherlands

Condi Rice isn’t thrilled with BO either. Wish with all my heart she would run in 2016. She has the skills, the education, and the strength this country needs. She’s more than a little knowledgeable when it comes to foreign and domestic issues. Perfect R-word candidate. She nailed it

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice accused Barack Obama of dramatically weakening the United States’ position in the world, drawing a straight line between Obama’s ever-yielding foreign policy and the increasing troubles around the world.

“Right now, there’s a vacuum,” she told a crowd of more than two thousand attending the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual dinner last night in Washington, D.C. “There’s a vacuum because we’ve decided to lower our voice. We’ve decided to step back. We’ve decided that if we step back and lower our voice, others will lead, other things will fill that vacuum.” Citing Bashar al Assad’s slaughter in Syria, Vladimir Putin’s aggression in Ukraine, al Qaeda’s triumphant return to Fallujah, Iraq, and China’s nationalist fervor, she concluded: “When America steps back and there is a vacuum, trouble will fill that vacuum.”

Rice – measured in tone, but very tough on substance – excoriated Obama administration policies without ever mentioning the president by name. She mocked the naïve hope that “international norms” would fill the vacuum left by U.S. retreat and blasted the president for hiding behind the weariness of the public….

March Madness continues with an ever growing list of FBI raids on Dems offices and homes.

Democrats in California, New York, and North Carolina were targeted by the FBI on Wednesday. All are targets of unrelated federal investigations.

Dems now worried the ongoing arrests and charges might hamper their elections….ya think?

Dingy Harry must have choked on this, totally busted involving nepotism and campaign fund irregularities. via Gateway Pundit

According to the Ralston Reports – On Dec. 4, 2012, nearly a year before Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid gave his granddaughter the nearly $17,000 for “holiday gifts,” his campaign gave Ryan Elisabeth Reid $9,000 for “gifts for supporters.”

More… In 2012 Reid helped out a Chinese solar firm that was represented by his son.

In December 2010 top democrats, including Senator Harry Reid (D-NV), helped a Chinese firm get stimulus cash for a wind farm. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and his campaign received thousands of dollars in donations from the wind farm’s backers.

In 2012 Senate Majority leader Harry Reid personally pressured DHS on behalf of sons casino project.

UPDATE: “On Wednesday, Nevada political reporter Jon Ralston discovered that Reid’s campaign had paid out an additional $14,000 to Ryan Elisabeth Reid’s jewelry company for “holiday gifts” for staff and campaign donors.” (Adam O’Neal, “Reid to Reimburse Campaign $31,000 Paid to Kin for Gifts,” Real Clear Politics, 3/27/14)

But, that’s not all. via Hot Air

His granddaughter has also received financial support for her fledgling New York theater company from two Nevada-based foundations that typically prohibit donations to organizations outside of their service areas. The foundations belong to gaming and energy companies that have also donated to the lawmaker.

Ryan Elisabeth, in her early 20s and a recent college graduate, describes herself as a “performing arts professional.” In addition to her jewelry company — which is not mentioned on her LinkedIn profile — she also works as an assistant at the Tim Bavington Studio in Las Vegas and as artistic director at Sprat Theatre Company in Brooklyn, N.Y. Donations to the latter organization, which she founded, may raise some eyebrows

Bo met with the Pope. He didn’t make eye contact with anyone, reporters included, after his one on one with Francis and the Secretary of State for the Vatican. He actually looked somewhat chastised and humbled. Maybe he got an inkling of what greatness and strength really are in the real world. BO said they spoke about “income inequality”, the Pope’s office said they spoke about “religious liberty”. Were they at the same meeting? Since we know what an out and out liar BO is, my money is on the Pope’s version.

Is it a surprise Bo’s disapproval stands at 59%? “Obama gets lowest marks for his handling of the federal budget, immigration and the economy. Support for Obama’s education policies, which had been a strong point, dipped into negative territory this month, too.”

MO hasn’t been left out of the madness…the tell-alls are starting to surface. “The Worst Wing”

Staffers complained about mixed signals, and how the lack of a clear chain of command leads to empty voids resulting in a mess of too many people focusing on the minute details of projects while other larger-picture goals get left by the wayside.

‘There’s no barometer: The first lady having the wrong pencil skirt on Monday is just as big of a f***-up as someone speaking on the record when they didn’t mean to or a policy initiative that completely failed,’ one anonymous former aide said.

  1. Reid, coming unglued or just another Dem liar?

Is Harry Reid coming apart under the strain of the ObamaCare fiasco and his potential criminal liability for the misappropriation of campaign funds? He is now claiming on the Senate floor that he never said what C-SPAN clearly shows he did say one month ago — that:

“We heard about the evils of Obamacare, about the lives it’s ruining in Republicans’ stump speeches and in ads paid for by oil magnates, the Koch brothers. But in those tales, turned out to be just that: tales, stories made up from whole cloth, lies distorted by the Republicans to grab headlines or make political advertisements.”

  2. Reid grasping at straws to explain the failure of Obamacare…says Americans are too stupid to figure out the internet, the cause of the failure is “us”. WTH? Senile old man, guilty of nepotism and graft, tells us we’re too stupid for words?

Sen. John Thune (R., S.D.) blasted Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) for suggesting the most recent Obamacare delay is due to Americans not being “educated” about using the internet Thursday on the Senate floor.

“Only in Washington, D.C., do you see politicians blaming the American people for their failures, because that’s essentially what this is. The Obamacare legislation by and large, I think most people will conclude, just isn’t working,” he said.

Thune noted his 94 year-old grandfather uses the internet everyday and blasted Reid for trying to shift the blame for Obamacare’s failed rollout.

“I don’t think the problem is the internet, or that the people in this country aren’t educated enough to use the internet. I think it has a lot more to do with the fact that incompetence here in Washington, D.C. led to a failed rollout that confused millions of Americans, and that is not their responsibility, nor should we blame the American people for that. That is the government trying to do big things and not doing them well.”

  3. Funny money…$90,000 to BO

The case recently resurfaced when an NBC station in New York reported that Senator Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey, was under federal investigation for helping the Isaias brothers with their immigration problems after their relatives contributed to his campaigns. Several other members of Congress also helped the family by writing letters urging the State Department to resolve bureaucratic delays that kept several of the family members from obtaining residency in the United States.

The White House has denied any connection between the campaign contributions and the decision not to extradite the men. The White House did not respond to a request for comment on the money laundering investigation. The Democratic National Committee, which received tens of thousands of dollars from Roberto Isaias’s wife and son, declined to comment.

The investigation raises the possibility that money looted from Ecuador found its way into American political campaigns. Experts said the campaigns should have had tougher vetting procedures.
