Lynchburg VA proves a major point into why the XL pipeline should be built. 10 to 14 tanker cars have derailed and, a few have breached, spilling oil into the St. James River and causing explosions and fires in the downtown area which has been evacuated. What is BO waiting for? The ‘greens’ have been proven wrong once again. When will they come to the realistic conclusion that pipelines are safer, cause less impact to the environment, and actually can save lives.
The Obama/Biden clan has certainly done their best to accrue as many perks as possible while in office. MO’s ‘state visits’ are particularly egregious. A couple of hours fawning over local school children and it’s off to the fun part of her paid- for- by- the-taxpayers vacations. What benefit do the American people get from all the jetting around? I can absolutely understand the need to secure the President but, will never understand the need for MO to take all those jaunts on the taxpayer dime to any foreign country or Preezy to be flown to a resort to play golf. It’s an abuse of the taxpayer largesse.
So far, Judicial Watch said that it has tabulated vacation travel costs, mostly just Air Force jet time, at over $40 million. Far more money is spent on accommodations, communications, rooms and cars for staff, security and U.S. Secret Service protection, Navy and Coast Guard ships offshore and the prepositioning of cars and helicopters, but those costs are not usually revealed.
“It is clear that the Obamas continually abuse the perks of the president’s office at taxpayer expense,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a statement to Secrets. “And it is particularly interesting that Obama has chosen to take not one but two luxury vacations back-to-back while inveighing against ‘income equality.’ President Obama’s waste of the hard-earned tax dollars of working Americans on unnecessary luxury travel is an abuse of office.”
BO will be off again in early June to Europe. First stop Poland, where he will hopefully apologize for being an ignorant twit.
Just 48 hours off of Air Force One and a week-long jaunt around Asia, President Obama’s White House has announced yet another international trip for the chief executive.
This one is to Europe again for the better part of the first week of June. His first stop will be Poland, the country he left out of the loop in 2009 when unilaterally killing a missile-defense shield as part of his unrequited suck-up of Russia’s Vladimir Putin. He’ll observe the 25th anniversary of Poland’s emergence from communism.
Then on to Brussels for a two-day G-8 summit. Oh, wait. No, it’s G-7 now since Russia was dumped as this year’s host for its annexation of Crimea and ongoing Ukraine trouble-making.
Then, Obama will visit Normandy to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day. And, of course, the annual summer pilgrimage to Martha’s Vineyard, plus the usual array of photo-ops around the country to pitch that week’s talking points and bash Congress.
There is a thought forming in BO’s head, one which is not going to be favorable to anyone in the trucking industry, production industry and delivery. This new thought will affect every single person in the country negatively. He thinks turning the interstates into toll roads will pave the way for the 302 billion for repairs. The raping and plundering by D-words continues until they are voted out of office. There is corruption in both parties, but Dems by far are more corrupt than their R-word counterparts. And it would also allow the government to easily track motorists by connecting to their toll tags, which is already happening in New York.
Both the New York City Department of Transportation and Transcom, a traffic management agency, admitted that for nearly 20 years they have been using antennas to connect to E-ZPass toll tags in vehicles traveling not just in New York but neighboring states as well.
“We’re being watched in ways that I think none of us would have imagined,” the executive director of the New York Civil Liberties Union, Donna Lieberman, told WBGO.org. “It’s happening without any public scrutiny, without any decision that’s consistent with checks and balances.”
And sure enough, the idea to start charging tolls on existing interstates originated at the federal level.
Back in 1998, Congress created the Interstate System Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Program which offered states the option to generate road maintenance revenue by tolling sections of existing interstate.
But due to strong public opposition, none of the states ever joined the program.
“All efforts to place tolls on existing interstate lanes under the ISRRPP have been unsuccessful,” the Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy for the International Franchise Association, Jay Perron, said. “Numerous states, as well as the federal government, have wasted time and squandered millions of dollars through both the application process and studies conducted to analyze the impacts of tolls on area communities.”
Looks as if we were right about Benghazi too. The lies originated in the White House, the cover-up did as well. Those Americans could have been saved if the Clinton run State Dept. had actually done the right thing, either close the annex and pull our people or given them the security they begged for months earlier. “What difference, at this point, does it make”? If you had to ask that question, don’t run for President. Clinton isn’t worthy enough to clean their shoes, much less be their boss as CIC. The most despicable thing she said was that and the assurances to the families of the dead the Federal Gov would do everything in its power to bring to justice the “film maker” who caused those deaths. They all knew it was a lie but kept up pretenses by compounding the lie with more lies and covering up real events. Politics trumped the truth to get BO re-elected. Bin Laden may be dead but, Al Qaeda is not on the run. It is totally repulsive how the CYA crowd in the media has gone along with the lies.

The “goal,” therefore, was to lie convincingly enough to get the president re-elected. It takes a special coldness to tell that lie with the bodies of the dead in coffins behind you. Hillary Clinton managed that without a trace of a conscience to slow her down.
