“Moral Clarity”

Isn’t it great to know Russia’s Asshat Preezy Putin is as much a disgrace as our Asshat Preezy. Neither of them deserve that title. Both operate by political whim and neither want what’s best for their people. Both are backed by the same type of loons, socialists, and, could care less what anyone thinks of their actions. Both want to leave a huge “legacy” and are thin skinned when it comes to criticism of that effort. Neither one runs a “transparent” government and both hide behind their executive power. They have jailed and investigated journalists for no other reason than political purposes. Neither one of them are exactly fond of whistleblowers in their own governments but, are willing to shield treasonous elements in their own governments. They lie to their people and the propaganda machine (the state run press) swirls and spits out the latest state pushed news. They are both involved in massive cover-ups of wrong doing and use unfounded facts and rhetoric and their position to prevent exposure to their lies and obfuscation. Neither of them are to blame for any of the grief and ugliness their policies have caused for their people and others, just ask them.  That is the “moral clarity” of their leadership.

In Seattle, Barack Obama talks of unease about world

“Part of people’s concern is just the sense that around the world, the old order isn’t holding and we’re not quite where we need to be in terms of a new order that’s based on a different set of principles, that’s based on a sense of common humanity, that’s based on economies that work for all people,” Obama said Tuesday, speaking at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at an Italianate mansion across Lake Washington from the downtown skyline.

Wouldn’t it be nice if he worked on an economy which would lift US citizens out of poverty and actually created jobs for them? Maybe that would be the way to fight the “cynicism” he’s been spouting about lately. Of course, he said the “problem isn’t his fault”.  Why wouldn’t we be cynical when he runs around the country speechifying about all the scandals in his own government and claiming not to have known about any of them. He, like us, had to read it all in the news. But, to his donors, he claims to have known about all of the scandals long before they made the news.

While Obama is droning innocent civilians in the ME and Africa, he is complaining about Israel and their fight with Hamas over “innocent civilian deaths”. What hypocrisy from the likes of Obama and Kerry and the US State Dept. Is it any wonder no one wants Kerry involved? The Egyptians brokered a peace agreement (with full approval of the Arab League), the UN approved of it, Israel accepted it, Hamas refused to go along with it. The more civilian deaths they rack up the better PR they get and the cuddlier they become to the left.  Anyone who supports Israel is ostracized but, Palestinians can beat up people in the US, scream for “death to all Jews” (supporting genocide) and not a peep from the US media on the ugliness they expound.

Hamas is still resisting calls for a ceasefire. Why would it stop, when its popularity is high among Gaza residents for its “resistance” to hated Israel, and when it cares not a whit for the fate of those self-same Gazans? A hundred dead Israelis, even at the price of thousands of dead Gazans, would constitute victory in its eyes. Why stop, when it is being urged on by tens of thousands of demonstrators around the world — some suffering a surfeit of passion and a deficit of common sense, some consumed by hatred for Israel?  [snip]

If there is no viable political solution, that means Israeli military action – bolstered by our fortunately burgeoning security partnership with Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi’s Egypt, preventing the influx of weaponry and materials into the Strip. (One fervently hopes there’s a great deal of Jerusalem-Cairo coordination going on right now.) Israel needs Gaza demilitarized, and the UN, US, EU et al are no more capable of ensuring that than the international community was capable of disarming Hezbollah in south Lebanon. [snip]

Tuesday night, the European Union foreign ministers issued a statement calling for the disarming of Hamas and Islamic Jihad and also decried Hamas’s “calls on the civilian population of Gaza to provide themselves as human shields.”It’s a sad day when the EU — possibly shaken by the sight of all those militant Muslims leading the anti-Israel protests on its streets — appears to better understand what we’re up against than does the US government, which initially toyed with ceasefire ideas drafted by Qatar

Does anyone really think the US is fighting a “proportional war” with the Taliban? Yet, Obama thinks war should be more evenhanded when it comes to Israel and Hamas. Flaming hypocrisy from an irrelevant pResident. via Weasel Zippers

  1. Oh nooooes…Ted Cruz has lost the “Vampire Vote”…

“Sunday night, they aired a misogynist and profanity-ridden episode where Texas Republicans are murdered attending a ‘Ted Cruz fundraiser.’ Well, I’m sorry to have lost the vampire vote, but am astonished (and amused) that HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends….,” wrote Cruz.

  2. I got three eps into that show when a buzzer went off- Any time someone says something mean or cruel in a sticky sweet darling voice, it just rubs me the wrong way.
They were clarifying their moral superiority complex in a voice reserved for telling a guest’s kid that it’s not nice to jump on the couch- all the while gritting teeth in anger.
    They lost me quick.
