Amateur Hour and Sloppy Thinking

FoleyObama’s Catastrophic Misadventures

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), was released from Camp Bucca prison in Iraq shortly after Barack Hussein Obama became President in 2009.  Obama directed the release of thousands of other terrorists from Iraqi prisons as he prepared to remove U.S. forces from Iraq.

Obama declined to arm and work with the moderates who opposed Bashar Assad in Syria, allowing these moderates to be wiped out by al-Qaeda and ISIS.  Obama made no efforts to eliminate or to even weaken ISIS as it grew stronger and began its move from Syria into Iraq. [snip]

Obama allowed both Iran and ISIS to advance into Iraq, providing no military airpower coverage or other military assistance to protect Iraq.  The Iraqis were abandoned by Obama just as were our Ambassador and other Americans in Benghazi. {snip}

Obama allowed both Iran and ISIS to advance into Iraq, providing no military airpower coverage or other military assistance to protect Iraq.  The Iraqis were abandoned by Obama just as were our Ambassador and other Americans in Benghazi.

We all watched when Obama made his big show in the Rose Garden with Bergdahl’s parents. James Foley’s parents weren’t so lucky. After his flat speech about the Foley beheading, off he went to play golf. While Foley’s parents were grieving and speaking to the press Obama was teeing off. Daily  No comforting arm wrapped around them from the tenant in the White House.   But, to try and make him look “good” a leak revealed the secret operation to try and free the hostages held by ISIL. What a guy! Putting more of our servicemen and women in harms way for politics. You all remember the downing of the helicopters that killed the Navy Seals because of the release of information about their secret ops.

Decision to release details of failed raid to free James Foley backfires on White House

“Two Defense Department officials, who spoke separately on the condition of anonymity because of the operation’s delicate nature, expressed anger at the administration for revealing the mission,” The New York Times reported. “One of the officials said the aborted raid had alerted the militants to the Americans’ desire and willingness to try to rescue the hostages, and, in the aftermath, had probably forced the captors to tighten their security.”

Why not tell the press the operation was attempted without giving out every detail of the operation and the equipment used in it. Talk about amateurish and sloppy thinking.

Trading For Bergdahl Means More Foleys

ISIS would likely think less of its strategy of kidnapping US citizens for ransom, either political or monetary – if the Obama administration had not traded five Taliban commanders for alleged deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl just three months ago. At the time, commentators worried that such deals provided impetus to terrorist groups to kidnap Americans.

According to the non-partisan GAO Bergdahl’s trade broke the law

A nonpartisan government watchdog agency said Thursday that the Pentagon broke the law when it swapped five Taliban leaders for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl earlier this year.

The Government Accountability Office, in a legal opinion issued at the request of congressional lawmakers, said the Defense Department violated the law by failing to notify key Capitol Hill committees at least 30 days in advance.

Further, the report said the Pentagon broke another law by using funds that were not technically available.

We have Obama’s ideology and sloppy thinking  to thank for every single dead American that is executed by ISIL.  His phony ‘red lines’, his inept handling of Iraq and Libya and the consequences for millions of people are on the doorstep of the White House and State Dept.  He may not give a damn about us but, we will survive him because we are the United States of America. He is just a temporary fixture we will dispose of along with the Dems in the Senate up for election. From the polls, most of them, Americans aren’t stupid as they think we are.

  1. ISIS and the Surooris

The Surooris are a radical group founded by Mohammed Suroor Zain al-Abedin, a Syrian mathematics teacher who worked at a Saudi school. He advocated an ideology refuting traditional Salafism and encouraging religious rebellion. It is believed that he was behind the thorough changes made to the conventional Salafist concept. This group became notorious for its use of takfirism (declaring rivals as infidels) against governments and intellectuals or anyone who disagreed with its religious and political views. The group, which used to terrorize people on websites and elsewhere, is now terrified. It is afraid of ISIS, which considers the Surooris infidels and issued a religious sanction to kill them.

“ISIS is the product of the Suroori teachings, which is the product of extremist ideologies that preceded them”

This country had better wake up, secure the southern border and, grow a pair. Isolationism and Obama policies are going to get millions killed.

  2. This…

Many argue that laws are not enough. They want to see a fundamental change in the religious culture that glorifies death and martyrdom for the sake of God. For more than 80 years millions of Muslims have been indoctrinated into the belief that the greatest personal wish is to die in battle, to be a martyr. The solution suggested here is to change the educational system and introduce a new version of Islam, one which does not have at its center on the idea of an ongoing “jihad” against everyone and everything. [snip]

The idea that the West is an eternal enemy has become part of the popular culture.

We are stuck in the moments when Napoleon entered Egypt, when the imperial powers of the West worked against the Ottoman Empire until it fell, and when most of the Muslim countries were colonized. A speech written in the late 19th century by Islamic political leader and philosopher Jamal al-Deen al-Afghani warning of Western powers resonates perfectly well with people living in the early 21st century. A complete discourse of victimization was built around that and lives on.

  3. Keeping it real….Ferguson is not the “big” problem nor is the phony racism charges being espoused by the media….

According to court documents filed Wednesday in Washington state, where he is accused of killing three other men, Ali Muhammad Brown said he considered it his mission to murder 19-year-old Brendan Tevlin as an act of “vengeance” for innocent lives lost in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Iran.

“All these lives are taken every single day by America, by this government. So a life for a life,” he told detectives, according to the documents.

  4. Thursday at a Defense Department press conference, General Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said “open borders” and ‘immigration issues” make ISIS an immediate threat.

I don’t expect General Dempsey to keep his job for very long….Obama has a way of “replacing” people who don’t agree with him….on every single stupid thing he runs his mouth about including “open borders”.

  5. ‘We DID kidnap the three Israeli teens’: Hamas veteran exiled in Turkey claims responsibility for ‘heroic operation’ that sparked Gaza conflict
Saleh al-Arouri, senior figure living in exile in Turkey, made claims yesterday
Naftali Frenkel, 16, Gilad Shaar, 16 and Eyal Yifrach, 19, were kidnapped
Were hitch-hiking in West Bank – found dead but Hamas didn’t comment
al-Arouri said ‘heroic’ soldiers were expressing ‘will of the people’
The first time a Hamas figure has accepted responsibility
Came as funerals were held for Hamas leaders killed in Israeli airstrike

  6. The kindness of Pope Francis…..puts Obama to shame

The parents of executed journalist James Foley have revealed they shared their grief with ‘kind and dear’ Pope Francis when he called them at home from The Vatican on Thursday.

Diane and John Foley said the pontiff word’s were a huge comfort to them as they struggle to deal with the aftermath of their son’s barbaric death, which was broadcast to the world by his ISIS captors on Tuesday.

While they did not divulge what they and Pope Francis spoke about during their telephone call, the Foleys said they were thankful he called as he deals with his own personal loss after his two small nephews and their mother died in a car crash in Argentina this week.

  7. Accuse…then ride to the rescue making excuses for callous behavior..

But the criticism went beyond the usual political opponents. Privately, many Democrats shook their heads at what they considered a judgment error. Ezra Klein, editor in chief of the online news site Vox, who is normally sympathetic to Mr. Obama, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that “golfing today is in bad taste.” The Daily News published a front-page photograph of a grinning president in a golf cart next to a picture of Mr. Foley’s distraught mother and father under the headline, “Prez tees off as Foley’s parents grieve.”

“As a general rule, I think that he’s right that you can’t be held hostage to the news cycle — the man deserves a bit of downtime,” said Jim Manley, a longtime Democratic strategist. “But in this particular instance, I think a lot of Democrats flinched a little bit.”

The video, Mr. Manley added, “was just so shocking that the idea that he was going to immediately run to the golf course was just a little too much for folks; it was tone-deaf.”

  8. ” Legislation should be drafted by Congress now, emphasizing border security for the safety of our people. It should be publicized and placed in front of the Senate. Let Harry Reid turn it down, let the Democrats lose and then push the legislation all over again. Don’t stop.

The fact that a jihadi can walk over our border more easily than some of us can cross the street in front of our house is appalling. That we have a government that has permitted that is even more appalling.”

When will the milquetoast Preezy recognize the need for a secure southern border?
