The Leftist Temper Tantrum

I submit that the one assumption all Leftists share in order to be Leftists is that life is unfair, and the unfairness is manmade, springing from the laws and customs, institutions and habits of mankind, which exploited a unsuccessful victim to the benefit of the successful victor; ergo any man, church or nation who is successful won its success under the crooked rules and corrupt practices of these same unfair laws and practices; ergo the successful are in the wrong, and the more successful they are, the more wrong; ergo again the only way their victims can be made right is for the successful to give away the ill-gotten fruits of success to the victims, and the laws and practices of man shall and must change to prevent the unfairness from happening again. John C. Wright Journal

So, the left goes out and has a temper tantrum and we all pay for it in one way or another. We all lose in the end, even the loons that follow a creed of envy. For the next two years, while Obama is in office, expect every single thing done by a majority Republican Congress to be called ‘racist’. It won’t matter to the left whether it is true or not, it will be a means to an end. Expect to be called ‘selfish’ for wanting to keep a portion of the monies you earn because you work 50 or 60 hours a week to earn it, which is why the middle classes are abandoning the left in droves. Expect retaliation if your ‘free speech’ doesn’t have the same ideas incorporated as the left, which means your speech will not be tolerated. Obama promised to fundamentally change America and his ugly policies have done a lot of damage to all of us. Don’t expect him to change his deeply held prejudices and ideology. When the left is losing, and they are, expect more craziness.

Wonders will never cease! It really isn’t because they loathe the bill they passed, the “if you like your healthcare you can keep it” bill.

The third-ranking Senate Democrat noted that just about 5 percent of registered voters in the United States lacked health insurance before the implementation of the law, arguing that to focus on a problem affecting such “a small percentage of the electoral made no political sense.”

The larger problem, affecting most Americans, he said, was a poor economy resulting from the recession. “When Democrats focused on health care, the average middle-class person thought, ‘The Democrats aren’t paying enough attention to me,’ ” Schumer said.

Ya’ think? The left actually thought they would end up being the heroic darlings by instituting the mess forever known as Obamacare. They, like Gruber, thought the American people were too stupid to appreciate this onerous intrusion into their lives and the costs of that intrusion. Just who is the “party of stupid” now?

There’s more Obamacare bashing from the political left today. This time it’s from outgoing Senate majority leader Harry Reid.

As he tells a New York Times reporter:

In hindsight, Mr. Reid said, it was easier to see how damaging the mismanaged rollout of the Affordable Care Act exchanges had been. “We never recovered from the rollout because the election became one that was directed toward the president. We couldn’t overcome that,” he said. Still, he added, “I should have seen it coming.”

and this…

As Reid heads for the minority, his caucus is divided between moderates and a rising progressive wing. His likely successor is waiting in the wings. The White House could cut deals with Republicans without him. And all the while, he’ll be fighting for his life back home in a potentially brutal reelection race.

In a wide-ranging interview with POLITICO, one of his first since the elections this fall, a defiant Reid showed his cards on the incredible losses his party suffered

Ya’ think? News for Dingy Harry, it wasn’t just the rollout. Maybe he should have brought those jobs bill to the floor of the Senate, sent there by a Republican House, that might have helped lift us all out of the recession instead of being the “yes man” for Obama. Leftist trickery and refusal to help all Americans instead of just the few brought them to this end. Gruber told the truth about Obamacare, the rest of the charlatans are finally admitting to it. When it comes to blocking “crazy stuff”,  Reid is the poster child for crazy stuff enacted by Dems.

Fannie and Freddie at it again. Fannie and Freddie Begin Offering Riskier Loans

Housing giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac on Monday released the final guidelines for low down payment mortgage loans, reviving a practice that critics say could eventually lead to defaults and another financial crisis.

Fannie and Freddie announced that eligible first-time homebuyers could now obtain mortgage loans with down payments as low as 3 percent. Both entities still purchase a majority of loans in the housing market and remain under government conservatorship after the 2008 crisis.

Since the practice was such a miserable failure and caused a recession of unbelievable proportion, let’s do it again! We’ll just change the wording, not the horrible no-good practice that caused a world wide meltdown because, “fair”.  Social justice trumps sound economic policies wherever a liberal is in charge.

Pathetic …. lose an election, pretend you weren’t aware, lie, lie and lie some more. Shame on Feinstein for the partisan hackery in her ‘intelligence report’.  Thrown Under the Bus by Congress…Again

In September 2002, ranking members of the intelligence committees were briefed on the use of waterboarding and other techniques, which prompted either silent acquiescence or hints from some members that more aggressive measures were needed. As longtime CIA watcher Steve Coll observed, “Agency officials briefed Nancy Pelosi in September, 2002, about waterboarding that was then underway, notes of that meeting show, but Pelosi later claimed that she had heard no such thing. Other senior Democrats who were briefed about brutal C.I.A. interrogations . . . have suffered from similar impairments.” Officials in the room that day attest to Congresswoman Pelosi’s involvement, and President Obama’s CIA Director Leon Panetta later confirmed her participation. Nonetheless, the former Speaker of the House claims, “We were not, I repeat, not, told that waterboarding or any of these other enhanced interrogation methods were used.” … snip

In 2011, when the danger appeared to have passed, Feinstein was suddenly aghast at the use of these measures, “I happen to know a good deal about how those interrogations were conducted, and in my view nothing justifies the kind of procedures that were used.”

That’s one way to cover your ass when you head an Intelligence  Committee that knew about rendition, which was started under the Clinton administration. What useful info came out of this report that wasn’t already known? None, except Feinstein and the rest knew what was being done even when denying it, which does not make her the most ethical person in Congress. She, like the rest of the liberals, went along with every single bit of it.

  1. “Liberalism has become an engine of class repression, with the super-rich pushing down the rich and the rich liberal undermining the middle class. Its regulatory regime limits social mobility and locks in class privileges even while spewing rhetoric about these and income inequality… snip

Barack and Michelle Obama lecture on food while gorging themselves at banquets. The lecture is the point. Cutting calories isn’t. It’s easier to oppress those who are manifestly inferior. Every elite needs these hypocritical justifications of their own superiority. The nanny state is not an act of concern.

    It’s an act of contempt.”

Trudging out of the grocery store with meager groceries and quite a few dollars poorer, I joked with my husband that some day, we’ll look back and laugh at the tales of the Queen that ate up all the food.
