Life Got In the Way

“We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.”

I have become so disgusted by all things ‘political’, especially the way the left has been denigrating our men and women in blue and the military. Until #blacklivesmatter and the rest of the pols admit there is a huge problem with black on black crime, nothing will ever be resolved. Whitey isn’t their real problem, nor are the police officers who choose to serve. Finally, this weekend in Cleveland, the Million Man group said it out loud. He said “we are killing our own”. He didn’t blame ‘whitey’ or our police. He put it squarely on the black thugs who are creating mayhem in mostly black neighborhoods. In the last month three babies under the age of 5, including an eight month old baby, have been slaughtered in driveby shootings and three teens were gunned down in drivebys. As for the Dem Party, recognizing a bunch of anarchists and supporting them because of the color of their skin isn’t in any way shape or form helping anyone who lives in the nightmare neighborhoods. Stupid leftists refuse to recognize they are a huge part of the problem. Catering to a group of anarchists will never resolve the issue.

Remember Clinton standing with Obama as the coffins of four Americans returned to the US? She stood at the podium and made her lying declaration-We had nothing to do with that awful video that cost these American lives- not word for word but, I won’t forget it. She played at being angry with very little effort while lying her a** off. She has no shame, and is totally unethical. There isn’t much of her story that hasn’t changed as new emails come out.
From the Washington Examiner

In fact, the diplomatic team in Tripoli seemingly wanted the agency to downplay the video and emphasize the fact that the attack was “well-planned” by “militant extremists.”

The newly-disclosed email contrasts sharply with a memo obtained through the Freedom of Information Act in April of last year that outlined talking points for Rice’s Sunday show tour.

That memo, sent by Ben Rhodes, then a White House communications adviser, to top administration staff, said one of the “goals” of Rice’s appearances was “to underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not in a broader failure of policy.” The memo was obtained by Judicial Watch.

“Failure of policy”? What has Obama done that hasn’t been an unmitigated failure? What exactly has Clinton ever done? What are her ‘accomplishments’? Zero, zip, nada. Clinton lies with ease every single time she opens her mouth. But, the fix is in,  it doesn’t matter to the fanboys of the liberal press how much she lies or how unethical she has proven herself to be, she is to have her day in the sun and her long awaited “coronation”.  Bless her heart.

Saw this map on Hot Air. Cheered me up considerably, especially the word “decimated”. Read the article, well worth it.

Given how the post-2015 election map looks, one could wonder if the Democratic Party can still compete at the state and local level.

With the exception of Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee (my opinion), all of the Republican candidates would be a better choice for President then any candidate the Dems have running.

It’s been busy at the Victorian Homestead. Our roof sprung several leaks and needed to be replaced. We had to tear off all the old slate roofing to replace it with asphalt shingles. It’s been slow going, so messy and dirty. Had to winterize all the gardens, including the veggie garden, clean up all the leaves (35 -40 bags full), drain the pond, and deal with two toddlers (they are into everything). Hubby has been working 7 days a week so…it’s on me to pull it all together this year. Taking this break gave me time to think and read a few books as well. Now that I have taken my deep breath, after 3 years of posting on this blog, it’s time to jump back into the fray of election year craziness. Thanks for being patient with me.

  1. A speech on the floor by Sasse after his first year in Congress. Well worth the time to hear it all. “The people despise us all.”

  2. PJ Media all the euphemisms in one place

Euphemisms have been trotted out as part of the Obama administration’s approach to the war on terror so many times since 2009 that the Washington Free Beacon called it Obama’s “All Euphemism Foreign Policy.”
•“Outliers” is their kinder, gentler term for “rogue states”
•“Al-Qaeda core” are the al-Qaeda terrorists who survived the Bush presidency, then regrouped and multiplied under the Obama presidency. They are not in any way, shape or form “decimated.”
•“Overseas contingency operations” is the Obama administration’s Orwellian term for ”the global war on terror.”
•“Man-caused disaster” is the Obama-speak for “terrorist attack.”
•“Workplace violence” is how the Obama administration describes Islamic terrorist attacks that take place at work.
•Violent extremism is how the Obama administration prefers to describe Islamic terrorism or jihadism because it gives them an opportunity to lump in the KKK, IRA, and Nazi skinhead groups who all together commit about 1% (or less) of the terrorism we see throughout the world.
•“Kinetic military action” is how the Obama administration says “war” without upsetting anti-war groups.
•“Leading from behind” is Obama’s euphemism for his “CYA” approach to foreign policy. It translates roughly to, “we’ll wait until it’s too late to be effective, and when pressured, take some modest steps, but don’t blame us when the excrement hits the fan.” (Because it will.)
•“Strategic patience” is related to Obama’s “leading from behind” philosophy. The administration uses it in place of “dithering,” or “kicking the can down the road for the next president to have to deal with.”

  3. Wouldn’t building pipelines be the more intelligent thing to do. While they were at it cut ethanol use in gas.

    Where’s the outrage…..
